Mass this AM. Fr. I's homily started with talking about "Stand up and go." That it is a command, not an invitation. Initially he said something that... As always fills me with dread, that I'm not doing God's will etc. I don't even remember exactly. Something like basically not doing what God commands you to do. But then he started talking about how the Church offers many opportunities to cleanse yourself. Firstly through confession, then also through the Confiteor, blessing yourself with Holy Water, etc. He then talked of going on a pilgrimage to Lourdes and being bathed in the spring there. He was all... It's cold I don't want to do it, but then as a priest everyone is looking to him, etc. People laughing as he tells his story.
The cantor from St. A sang again. Stop clapping!
Afterward we went to Ihop. I was craving their breakfast potatoes. But... It was undercooked. The potatoes were too hard. I then asked for medium fried eggs and they were practically over easy. But it still tasted good. Passed by Kerber Farm's to get Mom her mug. 7500centfish got some goodies. I thought it would take a while, so I left Mom in the car to take "Pumpkin patch" pictures. But 7500centfish was out soon after.
Came home and watched the new Mole series on Netflix. It's no Anderson Cooper, but the challenges seem more put together vs other seasons. I don't really have anyone on my radar, but it seems like too many people are trying to seem fishy.
We then watched 2 episodes of TAR. No one is a fave, nor is anyone annoying, yet...
Anyway, yesterday... Went to Queens for takyttik82's party. I guess Lordes rebranded and is now called D'Haven. It had a live band, but even then most of it was line dancing.
durlxnemesis then stopped by. OMG! I'm so deaf! Firstly I have trouble hearing in noisy crowds, but in general I have a hard time with low frequency / male voices, so yeah... I couldn't hear a thing! At one point, 7500centfish had to translate for me. HAHAHAH!!! Basically durlxnemesis wants to day trip somewhere like when we went to Mystic Connecticut.
Lol... I described dressing for takyttik82's party as "Real person larping". Like... It's not really my style, but what I think normal people wear. Just like when I "Trad wife Larp". HAHAHAHA!!!
