Happy Birthday Dad...
I was looking though pics to post on Instagram... I had a brief whiff of cigarette smoke... Weird. I basically posted my current wallpaper. I've been wanting to change it.
Elaine found my other instagram... She commented how Ramin Karimloo is hot. Lol...
Anyway, I though of changing it back to CitiField. Or... Maybe something ultra Catholic. But what? Should I go completely nuts and put like a monstrance? Or go more subtle and put the CSYSK priest, or as Tita E calls them, My priest friends, in non priest clothes?
Oh yeah... I mentioned I wanted to go to the Catholic bookstore. "Why do you want to go there?" Do I need a reason? I just said I wanted to look at the books. "Just buy it on Amazon!" Ugh... There is like 0 support in this fam in terms of religion. If we were really Catholic someone should have been pushed into religious life / priesthood.
Anyway... In my prayer, I was thinking on how... Maybe I should make it a point to donate. I thought of donating to the podcasts I listen to, but then that lead me to focusing on my Dioceses first. I need to look at my finances. Of my spending money, this year, I put away $35 dollars. That's for 2 weeks. That's less than 2 bucks a week. So a dollar a week to the church / other charities. That sound so cheap! As in cheap skate! I don't see a way to donate to the church online and I feel weird slipping extra money into the basket / envelope.
Doing my laundry. Going to the Mets game tomorrow. Mom said she would go if no one else would. Such a pity party... I asked the cousins, no one said they could go. So it's Mom and I again. She asked Tita Nette again... She said no. In addition, I don't feel like... Prepping. Don't know what to wear. Don't want to do my nails, etc.
They got rid of Keith's grill. NO!!! It was really good. I wish 7500centfish would have tried it so she can recreate it. All I know is it was a cheese burger with jalapeños. But then they had a sauce on it... I don't know if it was the sauce or the cheese, but it neutralized the peppers. It was good. It also came with a tootsie roll pop. Yelp mentions 2 types of cheese, guacamole and chipotle mayo. Pic here says chipotle aioli. Hm...
Having ideas for a Mets themed berfday... Maybe a backyard BBQ? But then again no one is gonna be here...
We ate at Bertucci's. Had spaghetti and meatballs. "My" friend waved from across the restaurant and stopped by to say hi. It's getting weird now. Mom and Tita Nette asked how much we tipped for her to be greeting us all the time. And why is she my friend and not 7500centfish or Tita Nette's!?! Anyway... 7500centfish said the tip was included with the total, but she added an additional $50.
Lol... We parked next to a car with this blue dinosaur 7500centfish also has in her car. They then had a dog magnet which... Could be a dachshund or a chiweenie? It was a red chevy sedan though. 7500centfish said it's her alternate life. AHAHAHAHA!!!
I wasn't having it at work. There was an issue with a patient. I get a note on my desk she has an appointment with a specialist in December. Call to schedule an earlier appt. I call. No can do. They can't schedule 1st appts sooner. In addition, the secretary said there was no patient appt scheduled. Marna then put a note saying if not call other MDs. So I call our regular. They have avail today. So I call the Mom asking if that's good. She tells me she doesn't want an early appt. She doesn't want a regular doctor. She wants a specialist in a certain condition. She didn't send the packet in / doesn't have an appointment. She's like thanks but no thanks. So I disregard it, but put a note on the chart. Almost a week later, Dr. L asks me about it. I tell him what the Mom had told me. He then tells me... Oh God... I'm blocking it. What did he say??? I don't know if it was the initial convo or something after, but he was saying the appt was in Sept and he wanted me to speak to this rep to get an earlier appt. Oh and that this hospital was the only place that knew about that condition. It turned into him being condescending and saying, "Do you understand what I'm saying?" When he's the one whose not understanding what I'm saying. I had to like slow down and say the Mom told me... X. Some times you make me not want to try.

Fr. Mike Schmitz latest homily on the Prodigal Son. Sounds like he cried during the reading of the Gospel. Makes me wonder... B/c even his youtube vids. He seems to get really emotional, especially in terms of salvation. Like the whole narrow gate parable then this. And it seems like he struggles with pride. Did he mention it this homily? Or elsewhere?
Trying to give this podcast a try... By a bunch of seminarians at Catholic University. They were interviewing someone on how to be a Catholic in day to day life. I couldn't... Talking about drinking organic milk instead of regular, being conscious of stuff like that. In the next podcast they interviewed a #MediaNun. I don't know where they're based, but their mission is to evangelize using the current technology, it started in the past with print, so they had published a lot of books in the past, then to radio, tv, now social media. I found it weird they're actually assigned celebrities to pray for. The nun in question is praying for Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and... Maybe Katie Perry? I dunno... That last part is weird.
Fr. John finished his thesis draft... I was gonna post it to Family Chat to be funny since Tita E calls them my "priest friends'", but then chatting with 7500centfish about it turned me off.
Catholic Answers. Someone called about should you even let your kid go to college b/c of the left leaning professors and Catholic schools which are nominally Catholic. I dunno... I was able to wade thought the BS. As I've said before it actually strengthened my faith.
