Canon Resource Links: http://aceattorney.wikia.com/wiki/Apollo_Justice This is a pretty comprehensive and large amount of information about Apollo. And just in case you need it too, here’s a link with a bunch of information about the plot of the game Apollo features in: http://aceattorney.wikia.com/wiki/Apollo_Justice:_Ace_Attorney

Affiliation: Trainer

Personality: Apollo has a bravado and confidence in himself that one would not expect from someone so obviously uncertain of himself when put in the spotlight. He has a tendency to act very self-assured, but the moment he’s put under pressure he reveals his true, self-doubting nature. However, he tries his hardest to hide this at all times. To do so, he does things like practice his “Chords of Steel” and makes puns using his own surname “Justice” in order to make himself seem much cooler. (By the way, “Chords of Steel” is when he practices his shouting for the courtroom. It often leaves his voice raspy and lightly terrifying, and is a sure sign that he is an extra special brand of nervous.)

While he has the highest respect for people older and more experienced than he is, if someone gives him a reason to doubt them, he has a knack for dropping all real respect instantly. Phoenix, who had once been his idol, fell from grace, and this led Apollo to tease him quite a bit about various things, despite the fact that Phoenix had become his mentor.

Apollo is very vain and puts forth a great deal of effort into his appearance, despite the fact that people seem to think his look is strange, to say the least. This also relates to how hard he tries to hide how nervous he is during trials or when facing a tough situation.

Oddly enough, Apollo has a strange tendency to wind up with people liking him. He can be annoying and unnecessarily sarcastic, but people seem to think the real him hidden underneath all that bravado and silliness is a pretty cool guy. He is dedicated entirely to helping people, which is why he became a defense attorney in the first place. Also, he is something of a “fuddy-duddy” when it comes down to it, seeing as he has a hard time talking about panties and doesn’t really care for rock music and people who like to be in the limelight and are too flashy.

Strengths/Weaknesses:
Strengths
Confident - Apollo has a lot of belief in himself. Even if it doesn’t seem like it at times because he’s so nervous. He knows that he does what he does very well.
Always sides with Good - No matter how hard people try to bring him down, Apollo will always side with his client. He believes in their goodness and will never let people who are counting on him down.
Determined - Once again, Apollo will never give up without a massive fight.
Perceptive - Apollo notices things about people that most other people don’t really notice. This is likely to be a dulled sense here, but it is a sort of sixth sense for Apollo - he can just tell when people are nervous and has an easy time finding their nervous ticks.
Poker - Because of his perceptive abilities, Apollo is very good at poker. But he doesn’t really play, so it doesn’t really matter…

Weaknesses
Easily Overwhelmed - Even the smallest thing can send Apollo into a rage of nervousness. The moment he screws up once, he’s certain that he’s going to keep screwing up, but he plugs on anyway.
Vain - Apollo likes the way he looks. And he takes a lot of time to make himself look as good as he does.
A bit of a dunce - Apollo can be dense and stupid at times. If you want to get something through to him, be prepared to have to convince him heavily.
Heights - He’s terrified of them, plain and simple.
Panties - They… just shouldn’t be talked about in public… it’s awkward… and embarrassing…

First Person Sample:

[a stern expression is on the young man’s face as he comes into focus. He seems to be breathing rather pointedly through his nose. In and out, in and out, in a slow, steady rhythm. Then, he draws in a great breath and shouts!]

OBJECTION!

[satisfied, he looks pleased with himself.]

I think I like having this thing. Now I can see how well my Chords of Steel are paying off! They don’t really videotape the courtrooms…

[now he reaches forward and starts toggling something.]

Huh… what?

[the little prongs on top of his head flop forward in deflated defeat.]

How do I turn it off…? Darn it!

Third Person Sample:
Apollo took a few, deep steadying breaths. “I’m fine. I’m fine,” he muttered under his breath, trying not to clench and unclench his fists in nervousness. He had practiced his “Chords of Steel” for hours on end last night, in preparation for a trial today. But he had never expected to suddenly find himself nowhere near the courthouse. As a matter of fact, he was nowhere near anything that he recognized even marginally. It was more than a little disconcerting, hence his constant need to try and calm himself ever since arriving.

He was so focused on calming himself that he didn’t even notice the woman standing next to him trying to catch his attention until she waved a hand in front of his face. He jumped about a foot and looked up at her with wide eyes. “Um, sir… are you alright?” she asked a little uncertainly.

“The defense is FINE!” It was the first thing that came to Apollo’s lips and he regretted saying it a moment later. Especially so loudly. And in a public place to boot. “Uh… Uh, I mean… I’m fine. Thank you.” His cheeks were turning so red that he could feel them radiating heat. Yes, this was exactly the sort of impression he wanted to give. Just great.

“If you say so. Did you want something to eat?”

Apollo looked around himself and saw all the strange people and the strange … whatever they weres and he found himself in need of a good, solid calming again. Especially since that little - What was it even? A radish? Some kind of water chestnut?? - that little radish-thing kept following him around and... Okay, okay, calm down, calm down. Answer the poor girl. “Uh, sure. Wait. Maybe?” He ran a hand over his head nervously, pressing back the two prongs he always worked so hard on every morning. “What would you suggest?”

As the waitress gave him some options, Apollo tried to look at things more positively. He was okay. Everything was going to be okay.

He was just in the middle of a strange place he didn’t know. That wasn’t such a big deal. Right?

Ugh, it was gonna be a long day…
