I've seen a lot of people talk about how the incident with the prison made them disgusted, and that's about where I stand, too. It wouldn't be a good idea to turn out backs on what the deities did, and it wouldn't be a good idea to forget what was wrong about it. Of course, we can't just try and take down the deities. That wouldn't do us any good, ( Read more... )

It would be nice to see- if people could come together and work for something like that.

It might not be bad. Though I don't doubt that vigilantism will happen, it might be better to have something a little more official, too.

Mm... it would definitly be a lot of work. All these different people, from different worlds, with different laws...

But if we could at least come up with some basics, it would be a start.

Different ideas of what's right and wrong. We'd have to throw away the idea of utilitarianism, even if that was already well and ancient by our time. What is the greater good here? We have vampires and werewolves, teenagers without any powers, and individuals who can pilot robots. And of course, we have people like you and Setsuna, too. You're a little different from something out of some storybook.

It'd take a lot of polling, and there are thousands of people here, some of which never seem to use their devices like the rest of us. It might take time.

Not to mention the curses, and the actions that result from them...

No one should be taken into a troubling position, but I think there should be a better way of handling that. Things here are a bit more arbitrary when the curses are considered. Do we reprimand people for doing things during curses or subdue them as best we can? Is that even fair, when we're asserting control over someone who's already not in control of their own inhibitions, memories, beliefs, and desires?

And there's always the chance people can fake being cursed...

If only we had someone who could detect the truth, huh?

We'd probably need someone who can read minds. I bet there's someone like that here.

Thing is- I bet there's more than one.

There's a question of ethics, too. Is it fair to use a psychic to prove someone's honesty like that?

Invasion of privacy... you're right.

And it'd be the psychic's word over everyone else's.

We'd have to have a psychic check our psychic...

And then that'd get messy.

Just a bit.

We'd have to find another way to understand one another.
