I've seen a lot of people talk about how the incident with the prison made them disgusted, and that's about where I stand, too. It wouldn't be a good idea to turn out backs on what the deities did, and it wouldn't be a good idea to forget what was wrong about it. Of course, we can't just try and take down the deities. That wouldn't do us any good, but it's obvious that there's a little bit of disorder here. After all, things are a bit different, aren't they? There isn't a warden, there isn't the same kind of prison, and while I can tell that the police force is still at work, it seems like a lot of things might be a little less effective.

I'm a little surprised no one's talked about it. All of the running candidates for the position of warden (all my previous election coverage was here, thanks a lot for keeping that in one place, City) were trying to do much more than guard a prison. They all had goals and experiences and ideas. It doesn't seem like anyone has addressed the issue of no existing laws, no structure of laws, or where that might go from here.

If anything, aside from the existing police force, the current state of things encourages anarchy. It encourages vigilantism. While I can't say that's an entirely bad idea if you're seeking justice, but that can sometimes be a little messy. Is anyone going to try and change things? Will people create a public position similar to the ones that they sought with the warden position? And hey, will it be considered a wardenship position? This was something that the deities sanctioned, but it doesn't mean that people can't do it on their own.

Let's just say it's a little something I have on my mind. I'd like to hear others' thoughts on the matter. And you have to wonder if the deities thought the warden was becoming too powerful, so that's why they stripped his power (and the power of anyone who followed). They might be afraid of the people here. I don't think it's a good idea to let those bastards win when they try and get our spirits down.
