delayed much? Maybe. But posting about coachella seemed to be a necessity, and there were so many pictures i felt slightly obligated to do so. Was it amazing? I say
To start this all off, i need to state, i despise lengthy car trips--yet the five hour drive down was only scattered with traffic and otherwise filled in with conversation about the best concerts we've ever attended, bands and random trivia, crying at slayer, being called a dirty hippie for not wearing shoes, in and out bathroom adventures and reaching our destination: HoJo's in Palm Springs. Having seven people in a hotel room was as it should--filled with banter, laughter, boys in boxers, photo op's and, of course, much food.
The day felt long, so I took a little nap to be prepared for all the amazingness to come. Rilo Kiley, Bright Eyes, THE FAINT, M83, Bloc Party, Weezer, Four Tet, MIA, The Kills, Fantomas, Pinback, New Order, Tegan and Sara, Fiery Furnaces, Jem and moremoremore LIKE:
TONS of amazing bands(even though i look fantastically angry in the second picture) but my preference was entirely on Arcade Fire. one of the most amazing live shows i've ever seen: the kind you never want to end and make you realize why you love music all over again. Additionally, I am always reminded anew what a community feeling great music evokes; to feel a kinship with the stranger next to you that shares your intense excitement and knows all the same words is an awesome feeling.
So that was Coachella in a nutshell. There's about four more weeks of school left... this is madness!!
I will be getting a phone again in approximately two weeks, so I apologize at being terrible at keeping in contact as of late, that will change soon.
Summer time is coming, i can feel it. Oh glorious nothing to look forward to ♥
