Lunch
I went out to lunch with my mom today. We went to Cora's which is a small chain that only serves breakfast and lunch. Mostly crepes, waffles, that sort of thing. My mom had been a couple of times before and really liked the food. We had the worst waitress I've had in any restaurant in a long time. First off, my Mom ordered a crepe with raspberries and custard. When it arrived it was raspberries and chocolate. My mom is not a huge fan of chocolate but tried it anyways, thought it wasn't bad, so she ate it anyways. The waitress noticed the chocolate, commented she'd brought the wrong order but then just shrugged and walked away. No apology. No offer to fix it. Then when she brought us the bill it was wrong. It showed a chocolate/strawberry/banana crepe for my mom and a asparagus and brie crepe for me. Now while asparagus and brie sounds yummy, I'd had the spinage and old cheddar omelet. The waitresses reaction was to shrug and say "they're all the same price". Only I knew they weren't. It was the sort of restaurant where you pay at the front so my mother got the bill sorted there. She also made sure the women at cash knew what the waitress had done. For a women who hates public conflict, my mom must have been made as hell.
