The weekend came and so did the 中体連 (Chutairen), Junior High School Sports Competition. In a span of about three days, I watched my students compete against other local schools in the sport of volleyball, baseball, basketball, table tennis, canoe, kendo, and softball. I'm in awe at how good these Junior High Students are in these sports.

I'm so glad everything is going so well in japan! I was really worried about you because of the earthquake and typhoon that hit not to long after you arrived, but after reading your journal it's obvious that you weren't too badly affect. Well anyways, I enjoy reading your journal and looking at the pictures:) SPFUN is thinking of visiting you sometime within the next two years (after we save up some major $$$). Anyways, I just wanted to say hi and to let you know that UCLA folks are thinking of you.

Awww. Thanks Richard, I remembered when we bonded more in New York. Good times. Can't wait to see you all you folks again. Hope everything is going well for everyone in the states as it is for me here.
