It was a grand weekend -- one day of mostly sitting on my ass contemplating the writing (sadly, not actually *accomplishing* much of same) with a few drive-by iris-ings mixed in -- followed by a day of Getting Stuff Done. Haven't been posting much. Been busy unpacking, taking care of two yards, figuring out what needs to be where, trying to keep up with the writing and editing and critiquing, working on various projects ranging from calling electricians to getting soaked replacing sprinkler heads. Forgot to cover my hose bibs until after dark. That was fun.

Here we go. Cornstarch dissolved in cold water, boiling water, sal (washing) soda, ammonia and vinegar. Apply whilst hot and rewarm if necessary. Wash loosened varnish off with hot water.
