I've missed doing Thursday Thankfuls for weeks now.
Grateful this week for:
A number of things large and small.
* While it's still raining, the rain has slowed, and stopped on occasion, letting flood waters affecting friends and former neighbors begin to recede. I know there is a lot of work for them ahead, but it looks like it's not going to get worse.
* We've dry floor and are at no risk of flooding here.
* I'm making quite a bit of good progress on NINTH'S CHILDREN.
* The revision process I'm using appears to be WORKING, an is allowing me to work through a manuscript with *finished* pages behind me. This is ... jaw-droppingly stunning progress.
* I sense the first tinglings of cramps. Which is awesome because I have been a teary, snarly, self-involved prick of late, and onset would go a long way toward alleviating that.
* I've found the motivation to begin meditating and exercising again.
* Tabitha let me pet her this morning **while I was standing up.** She was, I should add, under the glamour of imminent Gooshy Food.
* I've had a Hard Thing to do for some time now, and I think I might finally be emotionally capable of doing it.
* Also realized that I've withdrawn from doing just about anything that renews my soul, on the theory that "I have to get things done." Well, I do. But my capability of doing so well and efficiently diminishes the more depleted I get.
* There is a hellebore plant (we identified it this morning) in my back yard with frost-damaged leaves that is knocking itself out with gorgeous white blooms. In January.
* Hot coffee, warm chair, purry kitty. There are some triads that are too good to not be enjoyed.
How about you?
