I can't believe I went on vacay and didn't say anything about it.
Or maybe I did.. whatever.
I was away.
And now I can't type.
And I did in fact get my license. And got to drive with it a little last week, which was a real fun experience. It really was, I took Jennifer out. And now I need to go out with DMack and Audrey and yeah.
And I miss Catapult like I'd miss my right arm if it was chopped off and fed to sharks. Oh my God, do I miss it and want to go back there. I'm seriously considering hopping on yet another airplane and flying out to Indy for Thanksgiving or Easter break.. I mean, they're both really far away, but whatever.. I dunno, we'll see.. I know both of those breaks are kind of revolving around my mother (Thanksgiving weekend is her high school reunion and I think Easter break she's going down to one of her friend's houses in one of the Carolinas) so that's kind of annoying. But I can deal. And I'll get out there somehow. Even if it's for a day, I'll do it. I just really want to see and hang out with everyone again.
And I kept thinking about how cute and fun it would be if I could have people out here.. we could go out to fun places such as Morristown or the mall and see all the things that I told them about.. like Cluck or the crazy driving.. oh man..
And now I'm looking at all the old pictures from the first week.. just to like.. laugh about those fun times.. like the luau party that sucked royally.. but it's fun to remember and to recognize all the people you were with that you didn't know at the time but know now..
Anyways.. yeah. Vacation was nice. Some southwestern New Mexico fun first, then some crazy Vegas fun. I liked Vegas better, actually, despite the age limits on most things (gambling, drinking, etc). The House of Blues was at where we stayed (Mandalay Bay) and that was symbolic and really cool and such, so I enjoyed that aspect of the trip. I got a sweatshirt and a lanyard for my car keys and some guitar picks to give to people that play the gueetar.
But I really don't want to be on another airplane for at least a month. I figured it out, in the past month, I've been on a total of 8 airplane rides (7/9 - Newark to Detroit, then Indy (2), 7/31 - Indy to Detroit, then Newark (2), 8/4 - Newark to Houston, then Albuquerque (2), 8/8 - Albuquerque to Las Vegas, 8/10 - Las Vegas to Newark), in some kind of airport 5 times, and in all 4 times zones of the Continental United States for enough time to be assimilated with each.
It's gonna be hard to wake up tomorrow morning.
Hopefully tomorrow we'll unpack the luggage quickly and cleanly so that I can go out and play. Maybe hang out with De, because I haven't seen her in, uhh.. almost 5 weeks, I believe? That's crazy. And I have to tell her all of my tales and travels because I really haven't told everyone EVERYTHING and damn, I have a lot to say.
Let's see. I still need to order my damn physics book. Senior portraits are 2 weeks from tomorrow!! Oh man. AND school is what, 4 weeks from tomorrow? BLEH!
And I realized that my schedule is actually not half bad.. I can leave reeeally early on Wednesdays and every class before English is either lunch, a free period or a class down the hall.. so I really don't have to worry about Sister Marian's punctuality wrath..
Umm yeah.. Going to finish reminiscing with Catapult stuff and then I'm going to attempt to sleep.. It's going to be a doozy..
Nightie night.
