5 Great Clois Moments

I've really loved Lois ever since she came on board like a breath of fresh air in Season 4. Like most of the characters on the show, she's been under-used and badly managed at times, but she's still my favourite female character. Erica infuses a certain brash, sexy cheekiness to Lois that I really enjoy, and I love that she brings out a different side to Clark than the other characters.

In celebration of Lois Love Week (hope I'm not *too* late), I thought I'd post a couple Clois moments that I really liked on the show. Not all of them are necessarily be my top favourites, but I'd like to pimp a few less expected Clois scenes.

Ranked in no particular chronological order:

1) 6-1: Zod

It's such a tiny moment in the scheme of things, but I absolutely adored this scene in all its awkward, sincere glory. Clark's glad that Lois is alright, and he just naturally reaches over and squeezes her hand.

I love TW's lovely, large man-hands. ^-^

And how cute is his tiny dimple?

Of course, Lois looks at him funny and he lets go, embarrassed at the show of emotion. But you can totally tell that despite her discomfort at the sudden "mushiness", she's surprised and pretty touched at his genuine concern. And it's interesting to see how this artless touching of hands at the very beginning of S6 gradually and naturally progresses to the way they so spontaneously and openly comfort each other with tight full-body hugs in S7.

2) 4-14: Krypto

One of the things I like about the Clois dynamic is how they can be all bratty and obnoxious to each other at times, and it's clear that they rub each other the wrong way, but they don't take either party's jibes all that seriously, and underneath all that bickering lies a real budding affection between the two.

Then again how could you not giggle at Clark's impish grin here?

And despite all her grumbling about Shelby, Lois sure looks like she's having fun giving the dog a bath:

3) 6-13: Crimson

There were a lot of cute, hilarious Clois moments in this episode, from the awkward sideways eyeballing when they realise Jimmy's set them up, to Clark's flattered shock when Lois puts his arms around her, RedK!Clark's annoyance at Lois' fumbling praise of his tractor skills, to the magical jump in mid-air, the HOT making-out session in Oliver's clock-tower, and Clark's gentle teasing of Lois about what had happened. Something which unexpectedly caught my attention, however, was the serious, startled expression when Lois realised she must have really liked him.

It added a nice touch of poignancy to what was otherwise a merrily entertaining romp (sadly cut short by the inevitable Clexana triangle of DOOM!)

4) 7-18: Apocalypse

The alternate world of SV was lots of fun and chock-full of great classic-style Cloisy bits (especially when Lois tried to peek at Clark changing *lol*), especially with the Big Save, the Glasses, etc. But what I liked the most in the episode was the Real World Clois at the end. It's annoying how little screen-time they've had, but I'm generally satisfied with how they've slowly progressed the relationship between the two. Lois confesses that she's not good with things like this, but she tries to help him in her own way. It's just so... unpretentious, *grin*, and continues building on their history of comforting each other about their (terrible) love-lives (see Aqua, Oracle, Siren, and later that heartwrenching bit in Artic ).

Aww.

5) 7-01: Bizarro

Here's another example of that caring. There was real emotion and affection where you see Lois frankly trying to comfort Clark with a nice big hug, and then the comedic twist comes when she simultaneously forgives and threatens him at the same time for groping her ass. Hee.

And that's that.

I'd have liked to do more, but unfortunately, I need to sleep now. Hope you guys liked the moments I picked . ^_^
