thanks for the welcome, my dear redheads!
last night, lien jill and i were walking to the Revue to see Les Choristes (gorgeous movie, definitely for choir nerds) and there was *unexpectedly* this huge
candlelight vigil going on for the Pope..the streets were closed off
and guarded by police...some police were on horses! so we walked in the
middle of Roncesvalles and danced in the moonlight.
Then we had to squeeze
our way through this enormous crowd while Dalton McGuinty was making a
speech. The street was completely jam-packed with people, worse than
sardines. And most of them had candles, so we were rather afraid of
being lit on fire. And for some reason, most of them were Polish. lien
reached for me to make sure i was still there and grabbed an old man's
hand by accident...he was very pleased. we learned a lot about the
Pope. anyways once we got out and could breathe again we all had a laughing spaz attack.
stayed up until 2 watching movies and eating cake. Not bad.
Did you know that there are palm trees in Cork (Ireland)? How bizzare
spring has sprung...now only if it was warmer.
two suggestions: see Bride&Prejudice (the movie by Gurinder Chadha) and listen to the Wicked soundtrack
the O.C. is sucking more and more every week.
i think gilmore girls is sinking a bit too
love,
l.
