Wait what. Greek is in danger of cancellation? WARGH. :( Here are some reasons you should watch the show:
1. It's funny -- funnier than a lot of comedies -- but it doesn't sacrifice its drama for jokes.
2. It has improved over its run. The first season was a bit patchy, but the s3 fall finale was genuinely one of the most exciting, tightly-plotted episodes of TV that I can recall.
3. It thrives on pop culture references -- often obscure ones that reveal the writers as real fandorks. Case in point: Rusty gives Casey a Joan of Arcadia boxset as a commiseratory gift because she has no social life. Heh! (That was a good show. Shut up.)
4. It's one of the few shows on TV where I actually 'ship the golden couple. This might be because we're introduced to said golden couple when they have revenge sex in the Pilot. It's great!
5. It takes character archetypes (the science nerd, the fundamentalist Christian, the newly-out former football player) that could become cliches or cardboard-cutouts and makes them into warm and nuanced characters.
