Does anyone actually get published off their own merits? Isn't it all just nepotism?
I'm so sick of reading mediocre novels and finding out the author was a successful journalist, a respected editor or, hey, just has a famous father.
I'm sick of going to literary agents' websites and reading that they accept unsolicited submissions rarely or never. Gee. It's apparently not possible to get representation unless you already HAVE representation.
Just venting. Ignore.
