A slight knock at the door brought Jenny out of her peaceful slumber, she grumbled under her breath before opening her eyes. She was wrapped up in her girlfriend’s embrace, wanting to stay there forever. She turned slightly and looked at the blonde, who surprisingly enough was still asleep.

‘Mmm, she usually wakes up to slightest noise, I guess she is exhausted like the night I left her, back home in Cologne,’ Jenny thought, mesmerised by Emma’s beautiful features. ‘Really, how did I end up with her?  The shit I put her through was terrible, but I guess I got my own back by her hurting me. Wait, nothing could ever be as bad as sleeping with Ben. How could I have been so stupid, sh...’ the brunette was interrupted by another slight knock on the door.

“Shit,” she whispered, to herself, carefully removing Emma’s arm that was draped over her body. Quietly getting out of bed, she made sure she didn’t wake the blonde up. Once out, she made her way to the door, slightly opening it before she stuck her head out.

“Mmm?” is all Jenny could say to the figure standing on the other side.

“Sorry to wake you,” Eric said, in a whisper, “But some of your goons are here.”

“Eric?” Jenny shook her head, still half asleep, “My goons?” she asked, confused.

“Yes, those trashy fucks you use to hang out with.”

“Oh shit, no, not now, I don’t need them in my life anymore!” Jenny said, groaning.

“Would you like me to get rid of them for you? I would be more than happy to tell them where to shove it,” Eric replied, in a more serious but happy tone.

“No, it’s fine, I will sort this out,” Jenny stated, before closing the door, grabbing a shirt and skirt that were in her reach, getting dressed.

Before leaving, Jenny turned to look at Emma and remembered leaving her in cologne the exact same way. ‘Oh man this brings back painful memories, stop it brain, seriously she is here and you’re not leaving, you are just going downstairs to get rid of these people, let’s go.’

She opened the door and slowly made her way downstairs, fearing what awaited her on the other side of it. She hadn’t seen these people for ages and she was glad because they messed her up pretty bad. Also in a way she was thankful it happened because she met Emma and was instantly drawn into the world of Cologne ever since. Reaching the front door, she breathed in and closed her eyes, holding her breath for a few seconds before exhaling. Opening her eyes, she opened the door to reveal a tall guy, a medium height girl and a short guy and girl.

“Jenny! We heard you were back in town so we decided to drop by, sorry to hear ‘bout your ‘rents kicking it,” The taller guy let out, without thinking.

“Thomas!” the medium height girl exclaimed, slapping his arm. “No, really, we are sorry to hear about them.”

“Ouch Katie, you are such a bully!”

“Eheh” Jenny nervously laughed. “Hey Thomas, Katie, James and Tori, how are you?”

“We’re fantastic man. You should come chill with us again, it would be good to have you around, been missing you like crazy!” James spoke up, standing behind Thomas and Katie.

“I would really love to, b…but I, um, I have a lot of fu… funeral planning to do,” Jenny stuttered.

“Oh, well, if you get a chance you know where to find us, yeah?” Thomas said, winking at her.

“Yes, of course, I better see what the others are up to,” Jenny faked smiled, closing the door.

“It was lovely seeing you Jenny!” Katie screamed from outside. “Alright guys, let’s go.”

Jenny sighed, taking a deep breath in and closed her eyes. She reminisced about the old times she spent with them, getting fucked up on drugs and not caring about a single thing; about the world, the drama and most importantly, she didn’t care about her parents. ‘And now they’re gone. God Jennifer how could you have been so stupid? They did help me forget the pain I had when I had fights with my father and when I broke up with my boyfriend. Fuck, he was such a douche, maybe they were pos… NO JENNIFER! DO NOT GO THERE AGAIN, THEY ARE BAD,’ she thought, frustrated. Jenny was startled by a slight touch on her arm.

“Hey, are you ok?” a concerned voice asked, going straight through Jenny’s body. Opening her eyes she was greeted by the very two hazel eyes she needed to see.

“Yes, I am fine Emma, how long have you been awake?”

“Only a few minutes, I slightly panicked when I woke up in a different room and you weren’t there.”

“Aw, I am sorry babe, I had some issues I had to deal with, but it’s taken care of now,” Jenny replied, with a wink, making Emma blush.

--------
“Hey Jenny, we have a lot more planning to do and I’m sorry to do this, but I have to go meet up with an old friend. I was wondering if you could go to the flower store and pick the flowers up,” Aunt Leah said, from the Kitchen.

“Yeah, no problem,” Jenny replied, walking towards the kitchen, grabbing the piece of paper with the list off the table. Leaving the kitchen she saw Emma walking down the stairs. “Hi babe, we have some stuff to do today, flower shopping,” she said with a smile.

“Oh, sounds good.”

“Well, let’s go then,” Jenny said, grabbing a hold of the blonde’s hand, walking towards the door. “Do you need anything else?” she yelled, towards the kitchen.

“No, not at the moment Jenny dear, just those,” her aunty yelled back.

“Alright we will be back soon.”

--------
“Here we are at last,” Jenny said, getting out of the car.
“Oh, this is a cute little place,” Emma said, also getting out.

“Indeed, I loved coming here and picking out flowers for my aunty so she could plant them in her garden.”

“That is nice.”

“Okay, enough chit chat let’s get the flowers, right this way Miss Muller.”

“Thank you Miss Hartmann.”

“Jenny!” A voice came yelling from down the street.

“Oh no, wait here I will be back in a minute,” Jenny said, motioning Emma towards the shop, before heading towards the voice.

“Yes James?”

“Fancy seeing you here of all places, we just did a job around the corner. You should come check it out, It’s real awesome man.”

“Uh, no thanks James, I am really busy.”

“Oh please, just this one time, it will help keep your mind off things, yeah?”

“Ok, I will come but only for ten minutes, then I’ve got to get back,” Jenny said, giving in to the smaller boy in front of her.

“Sweet.”

“First, I’ve just got to go place this flower order in.”

“Oh alright, I will wait.”

“Alright,” with that Jenny turned around and headed back to the flower shop.

She walked in to see Emma looking at some pretty pink Angelique Tulips. Jenny snuck up behind her and whispered in her ear, “They are almost as beautiful as you,” Emma jumped a little before turning around.

“Jenny! You scared me,” she said, mockingly.

“Well it’s true.”

“Aw, thank you.”

“Hey, I have to go check something out, but I will be back in ten minutes. Do you think you could show the lady this list?”

“Uh… Yeah sure.”

“Alright, be back in a minute,” Jenny said, before giving Emma a quick kiss on the cheek and leaving.

Jenny made her way out of the flower shop and back towards James. She followed him around the corner and saw Katie, Thomas and Tori sitting around smoking something. She felt uncomfortable as this is what she used to do when she was into the stuff. ‘I can’t believe I use to do this. It smells like crap and makes you do stupid things. Why did I agree to come here? Ugh,’ Jenny thought to herself, as she kept walking towards them.

“Oh, hey Jenny, where have you been man? You have to come try this shit, its real good,” Thomas said, getting up.

“Uh, um, seriously no thanks Thomas, I am off the stuff.”

“Ah that’s too bad man, how do you like our art then?”

Jenny turned to look at the wall and saw what they had spray painted on it. It was of a small figure standing behind a DJ bench spinning some discs. He had some skull candy headphones on and an unknown cap, with shades. It was actually pretty well done and Jenny was amazed.

“It’s pretty awesome.”

“You want to spray some stuff yeah?” Katie asked, handing her the spray cans.

“Um, I suppose I could give it a go,” Jenny said, taking the spray cans off Katie and heading towards the wall. She started out her design and everyone was watching with a close eye. She spray painted a few figures holding spray cans and named them after ‘the goons’. It took her quite a while to get it done, forgetting about the time.

“Hey that’s me right?” James said, pointing to a short brunette boy with a blue cap and grey hoodie on.

“Haha, yes it is.”

“That’s pretty sick man! I dig it,” Thomas nodded in approval.

“Totes amazing,” Tori agreed.

-------
It had been a couple of hours since Jenny had left the flower shop and Emma was getting a little worried. She had given the lady the list of what flowers she needed and said that Jenny would be back to help pick them up as they had already been paid for. It was a relief for Emma because she didn’t want to look like an idiot who had no money on her. She waited for an hour for Jenny to come back but nothing. She rang her mobile, Jenny didn’t answer. ‘What could be taking her so long? It has been an hour since she left; she said she would only be ten minutes. I am a little worried now, she probably got stuck talking to that friend of hers,’ Emma thought, while pacing up and down the front of the flower shop.

Another hour passed and still no sign of Jenny, Emma made her way back into the flower shop and told the lady that someone will either come pick them up later this afternoon as it was only 11:00 am or tomorrow sometime. The lady was very friendly and said that it would be fine.

Emma walked back again and tried to ring Jenny one more time. Still there was no answer. ‘Great Jenny, you say you are going to be ten minutes, TEN FUCKING MINUTES and then you go and leave me alone for almost two fucking hours. Now I have to find my own way back, which by the way I haven’t got the slightest idea where I am going because this is all new to me. The streets are extremely busy, but it’s fine I’ll get back alright,’ Emma thought, rolling her eyes as she started to walk in the direction she thought she came from.

Emma didn’t really pay attention to what way they had come because she was more distracted by the person driving them. Walking along the sidewalk she tried to look for familiar signs, plants or anything that would steer her in the right direction, but all she could see was road, grass and buildings. ‘Bloody hell, this is pointless. I am so lost and I have no idea how to get back, I am starting to freak out a little and Jenny isn’t here to tell me it’s alright.’

Emma stopped her train of thought when she felt someone behind her. She slowly turned around to see who it was, but no one was there. ‘Breathe Emma; it’s in your head no one is there.’ Once again she felt that eerie feeling of someone following her, but when she turned around again there was still no one in sight.

Quickening her pace she turned into a little alley way and walked down it. ‘Oh smart move Emma, going into a dark alleyway when you have no idea where it leads to. If someone is following you they have the perfect opportunity to come and attack you right now.’

A flashback played in her mind from when the masked men pulled her into the alleyway and started to take advantage of her, back in Cologne. She couldn’t help the tear that rolled down her face at the memory. After a few minutes of calming herself down, she continued walking and once again the eerie feeling was back, she didn’t turn around because she knew it was in her mind. Emma gasped and jumped about ten feet when she felt a hand on her shoulder.

“Woah, Emma, are you alright?” a familiar voice asked, from behind.

A few minutes after regaining her breath, she turned around to meet Eric. “Uh… yes I am fine, y…you scared me.”

“What are you doing here alone? Where is Jenny?” he asked puzzled.

“I don’t know, she left me at the flower shop two hours ago and said she would only be ten minutes.”

“Oh, have you tried calling her? Wait stupid question, of course you have. Here let me help you home.”

“Yeah I have, and that sounds great,” she said, following him.

“Here’s my baby!” Eric said, pointing towards his car. It was a black Mustang.

“Oh man, that is the exact same car my friend has,” Emma said, with a slight giggle.

“Oh, that’s because Mustang’s are the best car out, here you go,” he said, opening the door.

“If you say so, and thank you,” Emma replied, getting into the car.

The ride home was actually entertaining, Eric told Emma all sorts of stories about Jenny and the family when they were younger, making Emma smile despite the fact she still didn’t know where her girlfriend was. They started driving up the familiar rocky road to the house and Emma let out a sigh of relief and a, “Thank God,” under her breath.

“Glad to be back, hey,” Eric mocked.

“Actually, I am, I was scared shitless walking the streets of London by myself. It is much busier than Cologne and the people are a lot sketchier here.”

“Haha, yeah you get that. Hey, alright, let’s go inside then,” Eric said, getting out of the car before rushing over to the passenger side and opening it for Emma.

“Thank you Sir,” Emma smirked.

“Pleasure is all mine Ma’am,” Eric smirked back.

“Oh, someone may have to go pick the flowers up. I couldn’t carry them all by myself.”

“Oh and why not?” Eric laughed, “Nah I am kidding; its fine I will go pick them up. I have to go see Bec anyways,” he said, opening the house door to let Emma in. “Make yourself at home, I will be back soon and hopefully Jenny will be back too.”

“Thanks Eric.”

------
After a fun day hanging with her old friends Jenny made her way home. She forgot about everyone and everything. They made the pain go away with just being themselves and not worrying about her parents. They made her happy because she could do anything she wanted without someone asking if she was alright. ‘So I may not have taken anything, but today was extremely fun and made me forget about all the pain built up inside me. Maybe they are the distraction I need.’

Jenny had spent the whole day and half the night with them, just enjoying their goofiness and company. By the time she had gotten home it was 11:00 pm. Most people were in bed so she didn’t have to suffer ‘the talk’ at the moment because she couldn’t deal with it right now. She was happy and had forgotten about the painful events which had brought her back to London. She made her way inside the house, up the stairs and into her bedroom. Emma stirred and woke up when she heard the door creak open. She opened her eyes and saw Jenny walking into the room.

“Jenny!” Emma said, loud enough to startle Jenny but quite enough not to wake the rest of the family up. She got out of bed and threw her arms around her. “Where have you been? I have been worried sick.”

Jenny pulled away. “Emma I am fine, there is no need to worry about me.”

“Yeah, but what about me?”

“Mmmm, what about you?”

“HAH” Emma scoffed, “You left me Jenny, in the flower shop for two fucking hours all by myself. I had no idea where you were, what you were doing, if you were hurt or not. You wouldn’t pick your phone up. I had to make my own way home; I had to walk the busy, unknown streets by myself. I felt like someone was following me and I walked into an alley an…”

“Emma… Emma… Shhhhh.”

“No Jenny! Let me finish. I walked into an alley and I remembered that stunt Ronnie pulled on me. I felt so alone because you weren’t there and you couldn’t give a damn right now. I then felt a hand on my shoulder and I jumped ten feet high before knowing it was Eric. I was thankful he was there because he helped me home. If he hadn’t come along, who knows, I could still be out there, lost. Would you even care if I was still out there right now?”

“Emma you are being paranoid! Of course I would.”

“Well, it didn’t seem like you cared today.”

“Emma please, can we talk about this tomorrow? I am really tired, I had a big day.”

“What did you do today?”

“Oh well, you know, stuff.”

“Like?”

“Just stuff Emma, far out!”

“I want to know what though!”

“Emma for fuck sake, drop it please and let’s go to bed.”

“Jenny, are you on them again?”
