Mead, Music and More
See what happens when you don't post for a couple days? Tons of things happen and then you have to post a really big blog about it all....
I guess we'll go for fun things coming up, first... I'm making Mead this Friday. It's a full moon on Imbolc--I'm not about to pass that one up. We'll start around 7 pm. I'm making a very sweet dessert mead this time. Somewhat more challenging (you have to feed it calcium carbonate during its primary fermentation), but I think the results will be well worth it. If you'd like to attend, email me at irene.jericho@gmail.com for directions. I'm going to have some munchies on hand, but feel free to bring a foody thing to share :)
Then there's Saturday--Brigid's Faire! Hooray! We're unveiling a new song, too! The lineup looks like this:

So that's this upcoming weekend. This past weekend was pretty crazy, too! On Saturday, all the Asylum residents plus a few friends went to the Peace March in Washington, D.C. I'm so glad we went. We ended up having perfect weather and it was so wonderful to see so many thousands of people all marching for peace. It was the largest cross-section of our country I've ever seen in one place--mothers with kids in baby carriages, the Grannies for Peace, people of all ages, races and backgrounds...it was truly amazing. And it's nice to know I'm not alone. Photos from the march are here and here.
Sunday we had an early practice, then

whiteknucklejoe and
ckackley went to the studio for a recording pass.
revelrain chronicled it all in the
cassyndrome journal. I'm headed to Chapel Perilous myself tonight for a lead vocal pass on Mirror Mirror and Phoenix. Yay!
