It's a beautiful day. I could see my breath when I walked to class this morning. Should've worn a sweatshirt, but since when do I take other people's advice?

Went to the Friends of the Library Book Sale yesterday with Matt and Nick. I bought 21 books for $3, mostly cheesy novels. Another copy of "the pelican brief" by john grisham since my last one fell apart, several more robin cook novels that I didn't have yet. Oh oh oh! And Nick managed to look through the same sci-fi section that I had already looked at and come up with two of the gap books by stephen donaldson that I didn't have yet. Now my series is 60% complete! :)

In more happy news, I got a 49.5 out of 50 on my second Language Development exam. And since I got a 48.75 out of 50 on my first exam in that class, according to my (hastily-done and possibly incorrect) math, I can avoid turning in assignments for the rest of the semester, and I'll still only have to get a 41.75 on the third exam to get an A in the class. Time to concentrate on the hard classes.

brief conversation with matt:

him: (talking about a book character) I just figured that he'd want to be with someone more obsequious.
me: I'm tired. You're gonna have to define that one for me.
him: what?
me: uh, "obsequious". duh.
him: You know, syncophantic.

I swear, sometimes talking to that boy is like taking the SAT. But I always end up laughing.
