I'm knitting pair 234 since March 23, 2011. If I add the gift card holder ornaments, I've knit the equivalent to 492 mittens.

My new goal is 240 pair mittens. Actual mittens. I'll finish this one and have only twelve mittens (6 pair) to go.

I finished the main body of my sweater and started on the first sleeve. I only took a partial skein with me to MNStF meeting yesterday. So, I had to start knitting a mitten. Finished it at home. And it's mate before going to bed.

I am one mitten away from completing all the promised mittens for this winter (210 pairs). I look forward to crocheting strings for between mittens and weaving in yarn ends. I also look forward to finishing the first half of my sweater and piecing granddaughter#1's quilt. Then there are fabric scraps to make into pot holders. Life is as boring as ( Read more... )

I still have 6 pair of mittens to reach my goal for One-Mitten-A-Day.

But, I'm taking another break from mittens to work on the sweater for myself. It is deep red. I'm still knitting it vertically, with raglan sleeves. I dropped the cables. They didn't look right. And am making the whole thing using a bead stitch. The bumpy texture is wonderful.

I just finished pair 185. Yes, that's 2 pair more than my goal for March 23, 2011 to March 22, 2012. One more pair and I'll have knitted all the mittens I've promised.

I'm finishing up another mitten - a total of 2 today. I have this 12 oz. skein that goes on forever. I've already knit 7 size 5 mittens from it. I think I'm finally half-way through it.
Oh, this mitten is the first of pair 121. Yeah for me!

Tonight, I finished my 100th pair of mittens. Only 83 pair to go!

I am currently working on Mitten #170. When done I will be 15 pair ahead. 15 pair = 30 days, so I'm going to take time off and do NaNoWriMo. Yeah!
