this week in review
This has been kind of a busy week for me.
Last Saturday, Megan and I had a day-long date. We got student rush tickets to Shrek at 10am, then got breakfast at the Stardust Diner in midtown (singing waitstaff and Eggs Benedict?! best ever!!). We went to Macy's to buy things - we were very successful - and then to this place by my work where we got lovely lady manicures. I just chipped mine today, which makes me sad but also happy because it means I can get another one. :) Then we went back to my apartment and ate Subway and took naps and watched Friends. Then we went back and saw Shrek and enjoyed it and then went home.
Wednesday was my birthday and we went to see West Side Story. Before that we both went to work and at work I had a meeting about my "duties" and how I think they should be split up when I leave (which is in one month, or 3 weeks, depending how you look at it). The meeting went well and my pie chart was a hit. After work I wandered into Claire's and bought more girly things. Drew and I went to Five Napkin Burger and ate yummy food, then to the Body Shop to buy a honey oat face mask for me, then we went to West Side Story. It was really good, I enjoyed it lots even though I don't enjoy the movie very much.
Thursday, two representatives from one of our biggest printing company came to see the office and NYC and meet me and see Ken again and take us out to lunch. We went to Gramercy Tavern, one of the top-rated NYC restaurants. I'll just list all of the food I ate: sourdough bread; a first course of chilled asparagus soup with fried oysters and sea salt; a second course of pork croquettes with potato puree and escarole; for dessert, a trio of gelato: vanilla bean bourbon, milk chocolate coconut, and ginger. YUM. I will go there again.
