I found one of my favorite bits of grade 10 Spanish class, a little tiny play called "No Hay Que Complicar La Felicidad." It requires you having learned a bit of Spanish at some point in your life, but not much, and you get just as much out of it whether or not you can recall grammatical and idiomatic nuance. I also found the first Neruda poem I ever read, "La United Fruit Company," from the same class.

I drove a little today. I have to work on turning more sharply.

I quit my job because I wanted to. I have to allow myself to do what I want. I've been trusting my first instincts more than my typical over-analysis lately, and I think I'm happier for it.

I will probably be reading The Testament of Gideon Mack forever, but oh, well!
