Wow!
Today I've been given flowers and chocolates. It was the last day of lab work for the two students I supervised since last summer and they totally surprised me with that one. Yes, they had already told me on several occasions that they really liked doing lab work with me, but this is something different. And makes me feel all warm and happy and glowy right now.
In other good news, I finally got a response from someone official about the unbelievable idiocy I wrote about in the last post. After getting no reply from the student union's representative, I wrote to someone higher up in the food chain and got very prompt replies: the students have been asked not to wear the shirts again and I have to think about whether I want to get in touch with them and discuss why the slogan was a bad idea. Should I?
