"we confess that we have ridiculed the absolute truth of Your Word and called it moral pluralism
We have worshipped other gods and called it multi culturalism
we have endorsed perversion and called it an alternative lifestyle
we have exploited the poor and called it the lottery
we have neglected the needy and called it self preservation
as a nation we have aborted our unborn and called it choice
we have neglected to discipline our children and called it building esteem
we have abused power and called it political savvy
we have coveted our neighbors' possessions and called it ambition
we have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression
we have ridiculed the time honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment
if we pridefully believe that we are not guilty of these sins, help us to remember that if we have ever remained silent in the face of evil,if ever we have refused to do something to honor You in the face of evil choices, we are guilty."
Profound.
today at church the sermon was on how leaders who are corrupt or "bad" leaders need our prayers. and that includes everyone, the people that have strayed away from Gods way, and use power to plot their own agenda, need our prayers. my pastor specifically called out to us to pray for the president, even if we do not agree, because you can crab about what he does, but it doesnt do anything, prayer does. pray for gwb, even if you dont like him. this is hard for me to do, but the man does need our prayers, he needs to do for his people, and not for himself and personal vengence.

after church i got some panera then bought a new book at barnes and noble. anna karenia. it should be a goodie!
