Here is some food for thought ( WARNING: this paragraph contains gratuitus use of the fuck work.) Language is nothing. well nothing in and of itself. language is representitive of thoughts, feelings, emotions, ideas, Now words phrases alone are nothjing without this stigma attatched to it. Now if I say the word "Fuck" you are only offended if you speak english and you grew up in america. That is the only way the Fuck word would offend you. Now consider this the british word chips means frech fries. but to us it is just potatoe chips. Now why do two countries that suppossedly speak the same language have two different meanings for the word chips. because language is not only spoken but understood.
God gave us a cammandment " Do not use the lords name in vain" why did he say this? well he wanted to be taken serious. If people were gonna use his name any ol which way for anyhting that they thought was remotely exciting. I contend that christians are more and guilty od this than anyone outside the church. For instance how many times have you heard someyouth group kids say something like. "God is awesome" then turn and and say "I love pizza it is awesome" This is the same reasoning. you are mixing the sacred and the mundaine when you rank god with tords that you use for pizza. does that really show the amount of joy you take in your God? your heart might be there. but your actions aren't.
