some blathering...

Just a tiny update of my uninteresting life- for the first time in a month, I have the word doc containing my fic minimized on my taskbar, so YAY!
Not only was I a little...stuck on it, but I really didn't have time.

Our med school likes to screw over our happiness and have exams after every vacation- so the supposed 'chilling' time was taken up with studying, which, kinda paid-off, because I scored 90 *pats self on the back*

So now I have...well, who am I kidding, I still don't have time to write, but am trying to finish this fic before I start studying for the big scary finals in late july.

I think maybe I was inspired by this week's episode, which I thought was the best overall episode since the lucid ellis episode (even though I know most of it was about Izzie, I didn't feel overwhelmed by it.) Oh my god, Owen and Cristina, how I love them, and the absolutely award-worthy acting of KmK and SO- for every 'miss' series regular and unwanted recurring guest Shonda has made (yes, I'm talking about Chyler Leigh and JDM, and Elizabeth Reaser) she has made up for it with hiring Kevin McKidd. At the moment, O/C do more for me than Mer/Der...they bring it every single scene they have together.

And so, to balance the praise, I must bring criticism. For the love of god and all things holy, could someone on set please show these actors how to do things properly? Episode before this, Derek used an auroscope so far away from the patient's ear that he probably couldn't see anything, Mark was using a tuning fork to test sensorineural/bone conduction hearing loss in completely wrong way, and this episode just gone, Bailey was using an auroscope (used to look inside the ear at the eardrum) to look into Izzie's eye!! (and from a distance where she wouldn't be able to see anything!) Where's Linda Klein for that stuff?

I just hope the next episode will be as great as this one.

real life stuff, ramblings
