My God it's tough
We did our climb and reached Laban Rata, the rest house in 3hrs 20 minutes. A fast timing, said our guides Jaf and Ehing.
He hit the road at 0910, and reached there at 1230. There were a total of 6 rest points along the way, but we skipped the first two.
It was very cold and you could see mists, if its what you call the air coming out from your mouth, just like in the movies, cool stuff.
Weichong and Wengkin lead the pack while I was with our two guides, but the shit part was when I felt my two tighs cramped, but it wasn't that serious, thank god.
We met some other climbers along the way, mostly foreigners from Europe, I think we were the only ones from Singapore.
Laban Rata was a cool place, nice room for us to rest, minus the little cockroaches, warm shower and good food too.
I warned Wengkin about his snoring, bloody hardcore snorer this fella, but it was this dude who shared the room with us, Eson from Sabah who irritated us with his handphone ringing and its stupid tone.
So it was beauty sleep till 0200hrs, as we head to the peak at 0300hrs, and hopefully by then the storm will stop.
