This has little to nothing to do with any of the shows I review. I just felt, in light of some of the shows I've been watching lately, it needing saying.
I seem to have managed to watch even more TV. Soon I will be doing some book reviews and posting fic just to prove that i haven't just been watching tv all day, every day.
Okay, so I love Alex and Nikita sitting in Nikita's place, watching TV together, having a drink - even if Alex isn't allowed to drink any wine; which I also love because it's Nikita being all big sister to Alex.
But, Michael. Michael looking at the tapes. Can he lipread? And if he can and he sees what Alex said, where can they go with that? Because if he works out that Alex is working with Nikita then the Alex as agent thing is done, right? Unless Michael decides he's okay with Nikita and Alex trying to bring down Division.
I'm really kind of confused where they can go with this and not completely change up the format.
My review for this episode went something like this:-
Kalinda! - I can honestly say that I can't wait to see where this goes.
Cary and Kalinda! - They are totally adorable and I love them SO much. No matter how their relationship ends up, I'm always going to love it.
Childs and Cary! - I loved Cary standing up to Childs and telling him when a case has a chance of succeeding and when it doesn't. But I also love that he's beginning to see what Childs is really like and I really, really hope he helps Kalinda when the chips are down. I'm pretty sure he will.
Blake and Kalinda! - I think Kalinda has the best poker face I've ever seen. But, damn, what is her secret? This is brilliant.
Blake and Cary! - God, Cary going toe to toe with Blake made me more than a little nervous but I love that Caey didn't back down. It is entirely possible that Cary has been my favourite character this season.
Eli! - I love him against all reason.
Eli and Alisha! - I love that Eli is kind of afraid of Alisha and doesn't know how to handle her in the slightest but you can tell he really wants her to like him.
Alisha and Wendy! - I want to like the fact that there is a black woman running for office, but damn, I think she might be the worst of all of them.
Eli and Becky! - I TOTALLY cheered when Eli crushed Becky. They way he was all, 'you think I didn't check you out' was freaking awesome.
TYRA - Fuck, yeah. SO happy to see her back and SO relieved that she was able to kick (or fuck) some sense into Tim. Because, really? Alaska? I really kind of want them to get back together. Is that wrong?
I totally cried when Matt turned up at his grandma's for Christmas.
Loved Eric having a surprise for Tami - and I love that he obviously enjoyed having someone around to cook his meals.
Panthers over Lionss? God. No. That sucks.
And if Eric is going to have Vince as his QB, is he also going to keep Jess as his shadow? I want Jess to live her dreams.
Which leads me to my biggest conflict: I want Eric to be coach of the Panthers and Tami to have her job in Philly and I don't want to them to have to split or anything horrific like that. It's impossible, but I want them both to get what they want. How is it all going to work out?
God dammit. I'm totally going to be a wreck by the Thursday night.
And then FNL is over. How is that even possible? I don't want to never see these characters again.
So, I thought that was a pretty good pilot. It's a bit rough, but I can see it evolving into an awesome show. Just, you know, Fox, don't cancel it after 6 episodes or anything.
I can't wait to see what Matt Lauria does now he's not playing a teenager.
They killed Antonio. Totally cried, because, damn, I liked him. Also, that was a damn good use of a voiceover.
And I like that they have an explanation as to why it's a cop show with no swearing *g*
It's Matthew Perry doing his Matthew Perry thing, but, damn, he's good at it. I found it funny. I also liked the 'elephant in the room' gag. That was pretty damn good.
And I love Alison Janney. She's amazing. Predictably awesome. And, her character, as I heard in one of the podcasts I listen to, is totally CJ but on pills. Lots and lots of pills.
I was going to talk about the amazingness of Hawaii Five-0 but I need to go to bed, and, really, I need to talk about it at length, so that will be for tomorrow, I guess. And Castle. And Chuck
Also, I need to explain just how awesome and amazing Spartacus is.
Also, have I mentioned that I've started watching The Shield? Just finished the first season. Fucking amazing.
