TV reviews. I seem to have a lot to talk about and just as much to catch up on.
Chuck
I’m sitting here with a big fucking smile on my face having just watched this week’s episode of Chuck and fucking hell. That was amazing. Bloody amazing.
I didn’t think anything would be able to surpass the finale of season two but this blasted it out of the water. Sky fucking high.
Where do I even begin???
Let’s hit the highlights:-
Zachary Levi directing the best episode EVER
An awesome Buy More storyline
The return of Jeffster
Morgan discovering the Castle
Morgan and Chuck tied up together in Castle
And, the best thing EVER
Morgan finds out Chuck is a spy.
Let me repeat that MORGAN FINDS OUT CHUCK IS A SPY
It’s awesome and epic. Morgan reacted as I was sure he would, but I was a bit scared that he would be all hurt and everything.
One of the biggest problems of this season has been the disconnect between Chuck and Morgan despite them living together. This episode cured that perfectly.
Morgan’s delight at the idea that his best friend is a spy is brilliant and adorable. And his pure joy at finding out why Chuck has been pulling away a bit is wonderful. Possibly the most adorable part was Morgan exclaiming that he wasn’t losing his best friend.
And then Chuck’s relief at finally being able to tell everything to his best friend was adorable and totally understandable. And he starts from Bryce and goes to the end of now and then he gets his flashes back.
The only thing better than Chuck learning kung-fu at the end of last season was getting to see Morgan’s geeky glee as he watched Chuck save them. And then Morgan knocked the final guy out and was just so damn excited about it.
And then Chuck’s speech about how if they want the Intersect then he has to have Morgan is the sweetest thing ever.
Although the funniest thing is a tossup between Casey being saved by a stoned Jeff or Chuck getting a perfect score on a shooting game and Morgan very suspiciously asking if Chuck used his flashy thing *g*
This season is getting me slightly worried that Ellie is going to find out when she is kidnapped by The Ring to get to Chuck.
And the Casey thing is quite intriguing.
Roll on next week is all I can say.
Burn Notice
Well. Fuck me. That was an explosive finale.
Maddie was all kinds of amazing when that FBI guy was interrogating her, although her line of how Michael’s paid for her mistakes kind of broke my heart
Seeing Management again was cool.
But, Michael, seriously? How the Fuck are you going to get out of that?
I can’t wait till June because, damn, I want to see what happens to Michael. Who is he going to be working for or is he still going to be his own person?
I was kind of sad to see Gilroy go. His purpose was…well, not that well done but, man, did I enjoy him flirting with Michael so obviously, or what?
And what has happened to Simon? That surely can’t be the last we’ve seen of him.
Numb3rs
All of Nikki’s cracks about Colby being David’s girlfriend are cracking me up so much (are the writers seriously not going to get them together, because, really, it's so fucking obvious *g*)
And Nikki and Charlie’s looks of WTF when David hands them a comb is hilarious.
I knew Charlie’s lie-detector test was going to be hilarious as soon as Don laughed and wished David luck with that but him just falling apart and telling David EVERYTHING was all kind of amusing and David just getting more and more frustrated was great
And Colby and Nikki getting just a little bit of revenge on David was wonderful and for a moment there made me see an OT3. Just for a moment, but see it I did.
Castle
Once again Castle impresses me by not having a member of an alternative life style be a murderer. Once again it a ‘normal’ person and D/s is just kind of incidental. It makes me very happy to see them not falling back on the whole ‘they are freaks, therefore they must be the murderer’ cliché.
And Beckett, she makes a damn good Dom. That’s all I’m saying.
And did anyone else think Esposito looked gutted and heartbroken when Ryan’s girlfriend walked into the station?
And Castle being all freaked out by Alexis’s brief excursion into being a cheerleader was awesome. I love how he didn’t know how to deal with it and it just plain scared him.
The Good Wife
I love the fact that we're getting closer to finding out if or how much Peter is corrupted. And how much kalinda knows. And how much of a bastard Childs really is.
And am I the only one who thinks there is the possibility that something between Alesha and Will has a greater potential or happening how that Peter is out?
I kind of love Will. And I also have this thing where I think Will/Cary would be adorable.
The Big Bang Theory
In the words of Raj 'How geeky are they?'
I loved this episode SO damn much. They haven't put a foot wrong this season (Stan Lee giving Sheldon a restraining order to go with his one from Leonard Nimoy was brilliant) and this continued the trend.
Sheldon's dream where he turned into Gollum was hilarious.
And Sheldon's explanation as to why Leonard always ends up doing the heavy carrying is great.
And Penny first being resigned to the fact that she's lost her boyfriend - and dinner - to a box filled with old geeky stuff was and then punching Sheldon in the mouth while she slept were awesome.
And I have to admit, my reaction to the Alf doll, was pretty similar to Howard's - at least until he started asking where his dad was.
Criminal Minds
Okay, how fucking creepy was MGG's episode? Although I do think he did a marvellous job directing it.
I'm so stuck on how creepy it was, that I can't actually remember much about what the characters did.
Oh, other than JJ rocked.
I have yet to see last weeks NCIS, mostly because I'm now constantly scared that there is going to be some hideous Tony/Ziva moment in there.
