1) So, I found my Christmas cards at work. Apparently I'd put them down behind the counter and totally forgotten about it *eyeroll*
2) I SO very nearly bought season 2 of Lewis (it was reduced to £15) just so I could have the episode with Bradley James in it. Only two things stopped me:-
a) I wasn't 100% positive that it's in season 2,
b) Is it just a little bit too obsessed (although I'd argue that's it's impossible to be too obsessed with either Bardley James or Colin Morgan...
3) I managed to get in and out of HMV with only buying the present I needed, not the Bourne Collection and Indiana Jones Collection, both of which I wanted now, now, now!
4) I have spent nearly the entire morning and a portion of the afternoon travelling the streets of Greensboro, but especailly those around UNCG (Tate Street, Spring Garden) and W. Wendover Ave using google maps street view.
5) I watched episodes 609 and 610 of NCIS last night
So, overall, I really rather enjoyed the conclusion to the spy storyline, even if it did seem too neat and easy.
Having Steve from Sex and the City play the bad guy was genius, because I can only ever see him as Steve so I always like him, and I didn't even consider the possibility of him being the baddy. Although, having said that, I did have a moment of wondering exactly how he knew what the baddy (back when he was still considered a victim) was doing and why. Because that was one talkative baddy. So, that was a red flag I totally should have got.
Loved Tony being all pissed at Lee. He seemed to be the only one really angry with her; although I suspect some of that anger is directed at himself because he chose her for his team. but still, loved the anger and the not very jolly and silly Tony. All business and professional - yum!
I also liked the touch of Ziva being the one to understand why she did it, when Lee assumed she'd be the one least likely to be sympathetic.
What I didn't like was the way she became the cliched Woman-forced-to-do-something bad-to-save-her-child-and-then-sacrifices-her-life-to-get-the-bad-guy -- blah! Did we really need that? Couldn't she just have fed them all a really good line, nearly got a way with it, but then been caught. That would have been cool.
I also liked Gibbs looking really quite distraught at the idea of Lee being put away and his very good point that she should have told him what was going on immediately, before she killed two people.
The conversation between Vance and Abby was possibly one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. I love Abby so much. And Vance rocks.
I do wonder about how the team needed DNA to work out that the girl wasn't Lee's daughter and then needed her to say about her being adopted. Do America not keep the legally necessary documentation?
And ow, Gibbs's finger!
How much did I love the continuity of Gibbs's finger being wrapped up and him still having a cut on his eyebrow? Lots, that's how much.
It was nice being back with a normal NCIS episode. I really rather enjoyed it.
I got some very heavy Tony/Tim vibes during that episode. Particularly amusing was Gibbs asking if they wanted to be left alone.
Air guitar *snort* Ziva does good air guitar *g*
And I really can't remember much of this episode, despite liking it. How bad is that?
