Music updates
Only a few weeks left until my vacation arrives and i have a feeling i'm not going to sit still for any longer than a day. First off, there's the band i'm in. We really have to play alot more to get any better. Members are frustrated and tired. We need to word harder and bitch less. We will be playing on a local Festival in August,(i will keep you posted!)
Then there's the soundscaping project starting in July. I'm actually getting nervous about that. In dreams i see myself fixated on a theme for this project. I have too let this go and let the theme come to me. Only by playing by heart it will show it's true face.
I did an audition for a psychrock band called Noir a month ago. They needed a singer with influences of Tool, Oceansize and Isis. They gave me the impression i did pretty well. Only after a few weeks one of the members told me i wasn't exactly what they were looking for. They said I need more experience and confidence to be a better singer for their kind of music. Can't blame them though; It would, after all be my first band i would actually sing...
Guess i have to practice more and try again next year. I'm not really dissapointed, but more surprised. This is the first band i just wasn't good enough for.
