operation breastmilk!
So last night I stayed up late and I am getting my milk back, I think! If I can keep this up hopefully i can get the production up enough that we wont need formula at all.
The Breast feeding support worker said to encourage Lilbuff to suckle as him on the breast will help bring it back better than just the pump alone. So yesterday I let him have a go since I was getting bits off my breast. He wanted none of it.
Tonight however after pumping on both sides for 20-30 minutes each, he happily latched on and had a go for a couple of minutes on one and then the other. It is a start and I am happy with that.
I will persevere because this HAS to work for him.
So keep sending positive thoughts my way. We can use all the help we can get. I will say that it was hard while I was out today self expressing. I think the pump is less painful! Hopefully though I wont have to do that in future if I can get Lilbuff to take straight from the breast. I still plan on pumping every 2 hours though and giving him the bottle.
