Drunken Date (Sarah / Alec)

Oct 05, 2014 09:06

From Nonny - the night before they went to Paris Alec takes Sarah to have dinner in a very romantic place and sarah is wearing a lovely dress which he tells her that. the dinner went fine but sarah got a little drunk with the wine because she is not used to drink. he drives her home and she asks him if he would like to have some tea. he says it's not a good idea but she insists that she would invite him even if she hadn't had wine.

he accepts the invitation and while she is taking her shoes off he goes make the tea. when he got back to the living room with the tea she is asleep and he takes her to her bedroom. he makes sure she is comfortable even in that dress (because of course he wouldn’t dare to change her clothes). he go back to the living room and sits a little but he is that tired too and falls asleep as well. in the next morning sarah wakes up and can’t remember what happened after they enter her house.

when she goes to the living room she is really surprised to see Alec there. She manages to wake him up and he apologizes to her because he fell asleep. she asks him how did she end up in her bed and he tells her. she thanks him and says that he really is a gentleman because any other man would take advantage of her.

Alec says he needs to go because they are flying to Paris in a few hours and he has a few things to do to make sure everything is going to be like he planned and that she’ll never forget their time there.

Dear nonny, I hope it’s all right with you that I put all your requests together. I hope this is what you had in mind.

The first thing Sarah remembers when she slowly and reluctantly wakes up from her slumber is that the blackout curtains are not working like she was told it would. Sunlight is still filtering into the room through the curtains, making it brighter that she likes. She rolls over, turning away from the windows and attempts to go back to sleep. His face appears in her mind’s eye like it usually does every night since that afternoon in the park and she snaps her eyes open which is a decision she immediately regrets. She cringes at the light invading her eyes and feels the pounding in her skull.

She remembers the kiss at her door that left her wanting for so much more that she almost wanted to cancel the date and drag Alec to bed. They were warm and addictive, and she has the chills just from thinking about it.

He’s not in bed with her and that’s quite a relief. While she has been dreaming about having him in her bed, she doesn’t want their first time to be a complete blur to her. She wants to call him; to apologize for being drunk and for being a bad date, and probably for half a dozen things she doesn’t remember doing. But all that can wait till later. She needs a shower first and she definitely needs to get out of last night’s dress.

A grin appears on Sarah’s face when she runs her fingers over her dress. Watching Alec stammer and trip over his own words when he saw her in this dress is priceless. She’s lost count of how many times he told her that she looks beautiful and how many times she caught him staring at her. She might have forgotten how the rest of the night went after a couple of drinks but at least she knows his hand never left her unless it was completely necessary.

After what seems to be a lifetime in the shower, she finally feels more awake and certainly more embarrassed of herself. A perfect man takes her out on a romantic date and she gets drunk on wine. What the hell was she thinking? This is so embarrassing. Alec may never want to take her out again.

“Alec?” She gently taps his shoulders, trying to rouse him from his slumber. She’s pleasantly surprised to find him on her couch when she goes to the kitchen to get a cup of tea. He’s slowly coming to, rubbing his eyes like a child and she thinks he has never been cuter. “Wake up.”

“Sorry,” he murmurs, blinking his eyes. “I didn’t know how I fell asleep here.”

“It’s okay,” she whispers, brushing his hair away from his face before she can stop herself. “Are you okay?”

“Yeah,” he smiles. “You? How’s your head?”

“Pounding,” she confesses with a grimace. “I’m sorry I was a bad date.”

“No. I shouldn’t have brought you to a wine tasting thing. I didn’t know you can’t drink. I’m sorry.”

“I should have told you. What happened last night?” she asks after a moment. “I can’t remember anything.”

“You don’t remember anything at all?”

“I remember the kiss at the door when you came to pick me up,” she smiles bashfully, “it…was pretty unforgettable.”

“Good.” Alec puts an arm around her shoulders, pulling her to him and smiles when she rests her head on his shoulders. Sarah almost giggles like a schoolgirl and curls up beside him, draping her arm across his stomach. Suddenly, her headache doesn’t seem so bad any more, especially when he gently massages her head and presses a kiss on her forehead. “Better?”

“Hmm. So, what happened?”

Sarah giggles when Alec puts his arm around her waist as they make their way to her door. “Come in,” she whispers, wrapping her arms around his neck and sighs into it. “You smell nice.”

“You need to sleep, Darlin’.”

She giggles again but shake her head. “Please come in. I don’t go to bed this early.” She pouts and he knows he has lost the battle before it even started. “I would have invited you even if I didn’t drink. Please? I just don’t want you to go yet. I like you.”

“I like you too.”

Sarah doesn’t know if she’s too drunk to know any better or that his confession has a massive impact on her but she stands on her tip toes and kisses him for all he’s worth. He tastes like wine and sunshine, and she moans when his tongue reaches out to touch hers. He growls into the kiss and presses her against the door, his hands roaming her body. “Alec…” she breathes, nipping at his lip.

He unhappily pulls away from her, his chest heaving from that kiss and rests his forehead against hers. “I don’t want to do this, Sarah.” He sees the look of embarrassment and disappointment in her eyes and he tightens his arms around her. “No. I mean I don’t want to do this when you’re drunk. I want you. God, I want you. How could I not?”

Alec gently brushes her hair aside and kisses her forehead with all the love he can muster. “Let’s get you that tea, all right?”

Sarah buries her face in his chest, her cheeks pink from the embarrassment. She can feel the headache returning with a vengeance. He chuckles and squeezes her shoulder. “You fell asleep when I was making that tea you wanted so badly. I carried you to bed and crashed on your couch.”

“I was such a bad date,” she murmurs, “I can’t believe I pounced on you like that.”

“I don’t mind. I always wondered what it’d be like to kiss you like that but it’s a shame you don’t remember it at all.”

“Maybe you should refresh my memory,” Sarah suggests, looking at him through her long lashes.

“I will,” he promises, his voice low and husky. It sends a wave of heat through her body and it leaves her breathless.

“Thank you.”

“For promising to kiss you again?”

“For everything.” She reaches up to cup his cheeks. “For making me feel safe when I’m with you. For not being mad that I was a horrible date and mostly for not taking advantage of me when I was unconscious. I can’t even imagine what other men would do in the same situation.”

“I’m not like other men.”

“I noticed.”

Alec finds himself swallowing heavily, his heart beginning to race. She has her eyes fixed on his eyes then his lips and he mirrors her actions, staring at her sweet pink lips. It’s either he’s dreaming or that she looks more beautiful in the morning light. Her lips look perfectly luscious and more inviting than last night. He closes the gap between them and crushes his lips against like she did to him hours ago. His hands immediately go to her hair, holding her close as she manoeuvres herself onto his lap, her legs on either side of his hip. She tastes wonderful, like a shot of pure joy and he never wants to stop but the need for air creeps up on them.

“I…I never do this,” she confesses breathlessly. Her hair is mused and her lips are swollen from their make out session. He feels a sense of accomplishment filling his heart and smiles. “I don’t get drunk or beg anyone to come into my home after the first date or make out with them the morning after…I’m not usually like that.”

“I know, Darlin’.” Sarah sighs into his lips and whimpers when he stops kissing her. He looks at her with the same soft loving eyes that make her insides melt. “Don’t you think I know that? For the record, I don’t stay over at the girl’s place after the first date.”

She giggles and kisses his nose. “You’re perfect.”

“Only you’d think that, Sarah.” He takes both her hands and brings them to his lips. “I should go. You need to rest. We have a late night flight to Paris.”

As she falls back into bed, she curls into her favourite pillow with a silly smile. He told her that he has a special surprise for her when they get to Paris. She feels a strange but pleasant tingling in her nerves and she falls asleep dreaming of what’s to come when she’s finally in the city she loves with the man of her dreams.
