are you my roommate?

the best news ever is that i might have a roommate soon. this guy wrote to my craigs list ad, he's 25, graphic designer, has lived with males and females before, clean and responsible, has references, likes pets. so i wrote back and told him that sounded good, let's get together and i'll show him the house, etc. then i searched for him on myspace, and he seems totally cool. he's into bands i've never heard of, his page was neat, he looked cute, he likes watching ace of cakes, sounds great huh? so i wrote to him on myspace, told him i looked him up, that i think we'll get along, and i look forward to meeting him. hopefully he'll call tomorrow to come by. i am dreaming of replacement windows, kitchen upgrades, all kinds of painting, etc. and it would be so awesome to have all that be possible just for living with someone i probably will like hanging out with anyway. plus i'd love to get cable if i'm splitting the bill with someone. wish me luck that we get along in real life and he doesn't go live with someone else in the meantime. i am going to be a very happy camper if this works out.
this weekend i am hanging out with anthony tonight-tomorrow at my house, starting to strip paint from my window trim in my room on saturday, and maybe starting to prime (we'll see how it goes), and going to a baby shower on sunday. and i'm getting a new gilmore girls dvd and hopefully finding time to enjoy it and knitting at some point. i started a scarf for damien, it's the first thing i've made for him. and it's perfect timing b/c my friend kathy stopped in at brewer's art yesterday when we were having a beer and she was wearing a scarf i made her like 3 years ago. damien was all "you made that? why don't you ever make something like that for me?" it's been really nice to just work on a ribbed scarf and take a break from the lace for the last couple of nights.
