Avalanche!!
Man, the last month has been such a storm of things going bad or bizzare I can't keep up with it all!!!
The home button on my iPod has been giving me troubles lately and so about a week ago now it decided to fell off! It no longer, umm, "homes" so now my iPod is a Zombie Farm only game machine. :/ It's a fun game and all but I would like to do other things than just play it all day. So I'll wait for the new iTouch 5 when comes out hopefully soon. Yay upgrade??
About two weeks ago my brother blows up my cel phone trying to get ahold of me. He left a VM with just the few works, "Call me dammit". I'm wondering if there's something bad that happened, house fire, little Johnny has fallen down the well, my brother is trapped under a piece of equipment, zombie apocolypse, etc... So I call him and find out some dude has just driven his car off the road, wiped out 60 feet of the fence across the front of my property, taken out the entire middle gate and posts and wrapped his light duty truck around the power pole at the front. He managed to escape without hardly a scratch! His excuse, his lap dog tried to jump out the window while driving 70 mph and he tried to stop it. My advice, let the dog go or roll up the windows. It started a fire and partly burned up the power pole. Now I have to get permits to have it replaced and all the electrical power boexs that were mounted to it too.
About a month ago, my brother called me and told me my place had been hit by copper thieves while he was at work. They raided my power cord bin and hacked apart all my nice extension cords. They busted into my military shed but didn't take anything from what my brother could tell. It really pissed me off for a few days that they managed to come onto my property and make off with about a truckload of stuff!! Oddly enough, the truck accident amused me, go figure.
Work on stuff around the apt. has been going well. we've been finally utilizing some of the stuff we picked up at the re-use store. One of the cabinets we bought has been turned into a mini pantry and I just cut about a foot off the top of it's mate to make a counter and shelves to sit next to the stove. Now we just have to go out and find some matching granite! I also a little while back took a really nice cherry wood colored TV entertainment cabinet and added a closet dowl and curtain rod with a nice brown velvet curtain to it to make a wardrobe for my clothes to hang in. The closet we have here is really narrow and cramped for two people so I offered Rayne to have the whole thing for all her clothes. Am going TV shopping in the next few days to mount a TV to the back of the wardrobe and the end of the bed so we can watch TV in bed!
