Post Fanime Briefing

  Another Fanime here and gone.

The weekend started off as usual, me running around the night before and the morning of the convention trying to pick up all the supplies and pack all the materials needed for survival for the duration of the Con.  I finally arrived at the hotel around noon on Friday and the parking gods smiled upon my exhausted self with an extremely close parking spot.  Three trips later I was situated in my room and meeting up with my fellow roommates and staff members,
Usaku
Nekoboy
Porku and
Pharna
I assisted in helping the ar-teeests of our group set up in artist alley and wandered around most of the convention snapping photos of lots of good cosplayers.  In between the wanderings I managed to get to eat and help scan the commisions of the very busy, and in demand, artists.  Only myself and one other in our group did any cosplaying.  Note to anyone who has any, must find pics of the Shion Uzuki in our group that was only cosplayed for a few hours ;P   To the others in our group, let's see some cosplay action next year!  =D  I'll post a pic gallery when I get film developed this weekend.
The other two people in out group who weren't just sitting around in artist alley and doodling all day long, (lol)  were running around trying to keep their sanity while keeping large parts of the con running.  I hope they have gotten enough sleep and recovered a bit by now.
I got to meet up with and chat a bit with all sorts of people I only ever get to see at the conventions.  Purchases were made in the dealers room, not the biggest haul, but not the smallest either.  I have some commissions that were offered to me by the doodlers, err... artists, so I need to come up with some specs on some chars. I would like designed by them, utilizing each of their specific talents and styles.  I also did a litle brainstorming on some ideas of stuff I might attempt to make to sell in artist alley, we'll see how busy the upcoming year is.  Mad props to the skills of teh arteeests, mad skillzors!  ::totally envious::
Post con depression has just about worn off, it's the usual bounce back from being so high during the con.  All in all, I had a good time at the con, there were a few unexpected curve balls thrown my way, but I'll get over it.  Hopefully next year will be as good or better!
