custom button commissions available!
Dear livejournal, please help me get a button maker!
I have wanted to invest in a button maker for quite some time, in order to create buttons of my artwork. Unfortunately, they are hella expensive!
But I wonder if this can’t be overcome!
I am going to offer custom button commissions.
I am going to offer people the opportunity to commission a drawing in order to make a button (or more than one!) of their very own. Once I have made your button(s), there will be no others like it (them) in the whole wide world.
The button maker I want to buy is 1.25 inches. I also have access to a coworker’s button maker which is 2.25 inches, so you have the option of ordering two sizes.
Normally I sell buttons at $1 for the little ones and $2 for the big ones. Because these are buttons made custom just for you, each button I draw is $5 or $6. BUT since even traditionally drawn buttons will need to be scanned & then printed, since button makers HATE thick paper, you can order multiple buttons of your drawing for just $1 or $2 for each additional button of the same design.
Once I’m done printing your button, no other buttons with that drawing will ever be made. =]
I unfortunately do not have permission to take commissions of Homestuck characters (I am intending to e-mail Mr. Hussie in order to ask, however). But OCs, fantrolls, and characters from other series are all fair game! Alternatively, if there is any of my other art which you would like on a button, that, too, can be arranged.
(Or if you just want a regular, non-button commission, I do those too.)
Because I already have access to the larger button maker, commissions for the big size will be taken care of first; the little ones will have to wait until I get enough commissions to invest in the little button maker (not necessarily enough to pay the whole thing, but enough to make what i have to pay out of pocket manageable), and the thing arrives in the mail.

Traditional commissions are done in markers:
and shipping is 50 cents to anywhere in the continental USA, more for other places!
