Step by step, slowly I .....

Well,
i have figured out the down side to down-sizing my weight. I now have a mess of clothes that no longer fit me and some I don't want to get rid of!

I started to clear out the closet last weekend. A bunch of stuff to go to Goodwill of course, but my Lucky 13 shirts that are a 2XL I don't know what to do with. I don't want to donate (7 are practically brand new) and I don't know if I want to do eBay because they take a bite out of the money. Bugger! And these are cool designs and I don't want to rebuy them. I tried taking a couple of 2XL shirts (a couple older ones from a bout 2 years ago) and washing them in hot water and drying them on "regular" heat (the highest setting on our dryer) and they didn't shrink down at all. I'm glad i held on to the other 50 odd ones that I have in XL since they fit nicely on me.

When I started this whole thing I was in a 42-inch waist. Now I am wearing 38-inch (from about 4 years ago) and these are getting too loose. I have them cinched up with my belt. Actually bought some 36-inch waist cargo shorts this weekend and they fit fine - just a tad snug. That should go away in the next 4 weeks for sure. Luckily I saved a bunch of trousers and slacks from when I was a 36-38 inch waist. That was over 7 years ago.

Had a bad flareup from my back a couple of weeks ago. Back in physical therapy for the next month. Hoping this won't effect my weight loss. The accident caused me to put on so much of the weight and I'm tired of it trying to derail me.

I have offically hit the halfway mark in my overall goal. So, with that being said here are my numbers for the week...

Week 16: Lost 2-lbs.
Week 15: Lost 1.5-lbs.
Week 14: Lost 3-lbs.
Week 13: Lost 3-lbs.
Week 12: Lost 3.5-lbs.
Week 11: Lost 3-lbs.
Week 10: Lost 2.5-lbs.
Week 9: Lost 1-lbs.
Week 8: Lost 0.5-lbs.
Week 7: Lost 3-lbs.
Week 6: Lost 2.5-lbs.
Week 5: Lost 1-lb.
Week 4: Lost 4.5-lbs.
Week 3: Lost 1.5-lbs.
Week 2: Lost 7-lbs.
Week 1: Lost zero-lbs.

- Total lost so far: 39.5-lbs.

- Current weight: 239-lbs.

- Starting weight 11/12/07: 278.5-lbs.

- Goal weight by April 1st: 230-lbs

- Finishing goal weight on 11/12/08: 200lbs. (total to lose 78.5-lbs.)
