Would you consider splitting it into two books? If it's already quite long, and there is an obvious break, even if it does end on a cliffhanger it would be a good way of being able to skip over all the intervening time.
Personally, I wouldn't mind if you skipped forward a few months. Lord knows I hated when Rowling did padding (the 5th book especially comes to mind). If there's nothing happening (and Alexandra isn't at school, or everything's as usual in Charmbridge) I see no reason to draw that out.
Haha. I've been doing well--just got back from a 2-week vacation in England. I was unfortunately flying so missed Nadal's loss live, but given what happened with Rosol last year it's not as surprising as it could've been. Even if it turns out he was injured, it does appear that Nadal's days of winning Wimbledon may be over.
As for the tournament, it's much more "convenient" for Federer and Murray than for Djokovic. I'm personally betting on a Djokovic/Murray final, won by Djokovic, thus breaking the hearts of the entire UK once again.
