AQATWA: Lawsy, that chapter took a long time to finish!
Alexandra is still in the land of the Ozarkers. But I got a lot of writing done today.
I'm on chapter 14, and a little over 64K words. Maybe I will actually finish this by the end of the year.
I'm foreseeing pacing/structural issues, here. Most of the first part of the book takes place during one week in the summer immediately after the end of book four. And the last part of the book where SERIOUS SHIT GOES DOWN takes place... at the end of the following year. There are some things happening in-between, of course, but it's going to take a lot of padding to spread the book out over an entire year without just skipping forward months at a time. I seem to recall Rowling did that in a couple of her books.
Anyway, I need to get Alexandra out of the Ozarks before I worry about the next part.
