Highly Volatile Insane Ramblings

Jun 14, 2008 16:07

So... I was reading through my f-list, and came across a post by a friend (fancy that. A friend on my friend list). I read the first link out of morbid curiosity, and ended up with a whole slew of links to her demented thought processes. She seems so bitter and biased to her ideas that there is no reasoning and the entirety of the male gender is ( Read more... )

that woman was insuffrable! oh look, I must be misogynist, calling an annoying woman insuffrable. XD

okay, so I got some of her ideas on how there is a level of violence and domination in sex. but she took it way too far. some people enjoy being dominated. some of those people are *gasp* male! if penetration in sex, imagine that, is always misogynist, I guess homosexual male porn is also degrading to women. let's just have cuddle party! But don't get too aggressive in the cuddling, you might accidentally rape someone. XD

I like yaoi... Guess I must be a misogynist.

I can understand the potential negatives in rough sex, but you know what? Everyone gets off on different stuff, and I think that if you're enjoying what's going on, then there's nothing wrong with it.

Accidental rape! That made me laugh way more than it should have

She got lots of feedback, but there are lots of deleted posts where people said something she didn't like and instead of dealing, she just disposed of the evidence.

I love you so much for that George Bush comment. XD

Being so incredibly biased seems to have eaten all her thinking ability.

While I'll be the first to admit life is not fair, it's rather silly to want to push your views on everyone, but not be willing to listen to another side.

Same here. Most of my friends are male, in fact, and you know? I was engaged once before, when I was younger and dumber. The guy was mentally abusive, and on rare occasion, physically so. I left, and ALL MY MALE FRIENDS backed me up, did whatever they could to help me get on my feet. They didn't stand behind the guy who wanted me to marry him, support him, and raise him a family. It seems rather funny, if her opinions on men were correct, that there would be such a large number of ones who respect me in my life.

wow, I hadn't bothered reading her profile. She is really just an utterly ridiculous woman. I almost feel sorry for her

Looking over the articals she wrote,mi have to say that she's detroying what real feminists are striving for: equality. She paints all men as oppressors and comes off as feeling that men are inferior to women. That kind of thinking is just plain weak ( ... )

I completely agree. It's not her cause I take issue with, it's her viewpoint. Men and women both have good and bad points, brought about as much by our culture as by our physiology. There are differences in they way each gender acts that relate as much to where they grew up as much as to what skin they were born in. Neither is better or worse. It's all just human ( ... )

Yes, women definitely aren't free from fault, and men aren't either.

And that sounds like it would be a great opportunity for Steve if it works out! If he stays at home, that will help with child care expenses too.

You know what bothers me is that the "Mr. Mom" and single dad gets more flack and less support and practically no understanding than the stay home mom or single mother. Oppression is everywhere and it's (oddly enough) indiscriminate. I think we as a race needs to sit back and really take a long look at what we are doing to ourselves and start showing some true, honest compassion.

Okay, so I read them.

I feel a little ill that someone will read them and think that is what feminism is about. Feminism is not that men are evil pigs and unworthy of breathing. It's about equality and understanding of worth between sexes. I'm not going to go on a rant but this is why people think feminists are these insane dykes (I can use it, I'm one *L*) who hate men.

Good job on finding her, I'll have to pass those links on to friends, they'll find them fascinating.

You're not the only one feeling a little ill over her. Gosh, I'm probably just as bad as a man to her, seeing as how I consider myself bi, but I'm generally only physically attracted to women. I don't do actual g/g relationships so well. Don't get me wrong, it's not a lack of respect thing. It's just a personality compatibility thing is all.

I'm afraid I can't take the credit on this one. I was linked to one of her articles, the stripping and porn one, and just happened to track down her LJ while I was perusing her other stuff.

*L* Good point, I suppose I would be as bad as man too. I prefer women but am not adverse to the odd man. (unicorns especially) So I'm probably not good enough a lesbian for her. Bad me.

I think she'd classify my fiancee as a unicorn. Oh my god, he must not really exist! Guys who respect and support women are only fairy tales after all.

I must be brainwashed for marrying a guy and not believing that women are superior and whatnot. XD Guess we're all going to that "special hell" for child molesters and people who talk at the movie theatre. Oh wait, that was making fun of child molesters and she has no sense of humor. I'm sure she'd devise some worse special hell... like... umm... the one with all the mens! Especially cross dressers who obviously really really really hate women

yet another thing that's wrong is that yes, female masturbation is misogynist and the thing about drag? Agh! So all guys who want to be pretty are misogynist, and all girls who want to drag as guys are misogynist too because they don't want to be women, obviously, if they're dressing up as men! the poor girl, something must have happened to her.

Perhaps she had a botched lobotomy or something.
