It's been a long day and I'm not helping myself by remaining awake. Work was full of suprises. And a 'Take down'. Interesting to watch on rewind ( Read more... )

I saw the full moon as well. It was nearly its full height in the sky and it was only a little after ten. I thought something ominous must be going on, but I didn't think about your world getting switched around.
I am sorry this are turning on their heads like this. Hopefully they will slow down enough for you to get balance.
Speaking of which, how is your store coming?

The store is on hold for now. I've no head for marketing I'm afraid, but I do a bit of orders now and then for family or friends. Wish it were more than it is.

Things come around. They always do. No matter how bad or weird or strange, they end up back in their upright position for landing and you get a breather before the next take off.

I'm too stubborn to sit and let it sweep me off my feet. Sometimes that's bad, but most times, it's how I make it through.

And I have supportive and loving friends like you. That REALLY helps. :)

tell me what all this work stuff means. Com? DT? are you a secret agent?

I forgot all about that funny show about tomatoes. Did you know I was raised on a tomato farm? They were killer.

"Com" is what we call 'Control room' and that is where I've been working, I basically control all the coming and going of people in and out of the building, answer phones and make visiting appointments. It's kind of the glorified Secratary thing.

"DT" is 'Detention', it's one of the units I will be working in, but don't want to.

It would have been cooler if it was a secret agent thing, but if it had, i would have to hunt down all my friends and kill them. One of those, 'If I tell you, I will have to kill you' sort of things, so I'm glad it's not like that. lol

Tomatoe farms can be brutal! They'll Smash you, beat you, then they'll eat you! *snort* Again, the lack of sleep shows my range of humor. te he! I used to live on a farm too, but we moved before I was old enough to have to weed in the garden. A four year old will pull EVERTHING out, you know.

I remember the control room well from the place I worked. The place was set up around a gymnasium of sorts. The sleeping rooms were arranged on one side and the "com" was on the other, up high, where you could see the whole gym and into each of the sleeping rooms (cells, really). So you'd sit up there and spy on the kids.

In the control room was a notebook holding each kid's case records, and there was a lot of time each day where I didn't have a thing to do, so I'd read those sad sad books.

We have cameras, But they are not in the rooms, they are just in the units. I like to call the place the "Pentegon" since it looks like one in the court yard surrounded by the buildings. And they keep the logs in a different area, so I don't know any of the kids histories. I think I like it better that way. I can think of them as good kids who made bad choices then and still hold hope they can make a go of it after they get out. *sigh* I will miss the control room.
you ever wish you still worked control? I never expected to like the job. I just wish they paid more.
