*I have had no appetite all day. I forced myself to eat dinner and was careful with my selection to make sure I was giving myself a nutritional 1-2 punch. I had a spinach salad with almonds and dried fruit and a piece of salmon. So, I may have only had one meal today, but what a meal. My nutritional haughtiness was ruined when I looked at my pineapple cocktail - yay! Vitamin C! Antioxidants! High Fructose Corn Syrup??? On a beverage called "Apple and Eve"!? Bastages.
*Remember how I was all excited over my 13.95 rotisserie chicken? Well! On Sundays, they're $7. SEVEN DOLLARS. For a WHOLE CHICKEN. Dude. Guess where I'm going every Sunday...Forever.
*Tonight has been going inexplicably fast.
*I feel like I've managed to waste a whole lot of money in the last few days. Yesterday I spent a bunch on a dinner that made its reappearance rather quickly. Today I didn't spend so much on dinner, but I was running late buying it, so I spent $6 on a cab to get me to work on time. I can't do anything about it now except be more careful and plan ahead and I can't blame anyone but myself, but harumph.
*Sunday, IYH, I'm going sheitel shopping. I want an out-of-the-box, curly/wavy not so expensive sheitel. Also, I don't want to go to a million places and spend a million years looking. Any ideas? I'm thinking Milano and then Act 7 for a Shabbos Robe..is that near the kosher Subway? If not, I suppose we'll stumble upon lunch somewhere between the sheitel place, the Shabbos robe place and the hat place there just *might* be a kosher restaurant.
*Further evidence that I am a fuddy-duddy - I am spectacularly offended by ads that feature nudity. The problem is that I am surrounded by them. Apparantly the best way to sell perfume is by showing Keira Knightly wearing nothing but a hat over her chest and a shirt on her lap. There is another ad for a storage company that features completely naked men and women strategicaly hidden behind pieces of furniture, knitting, books...eggs. It's so disgusting. I know that often books, movies and other media are declared "Irreverent!" to much applause and clamor, but lack of reverence and respect for everything makes me really uncomfortable. I suppose there is a tasteful degree to which it's funny, but we have passed that by so much that to get any attention at all the media is just continually trying to shock us. Inundation is not a good thing.
and in other news,
oh crap,
shopping
