Adventures in Prince Edward Island! Woot!

mc_questionmark and I went on an early anniversary trip last weekend and it was just about perfect. It was my first time going to PEI since the bridge was built. I visited as a small child but I couldn't remember it at all. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Ocean, animals, beaches, and fields everywhere. I LOVED it! :)

Our first stop after crossing the bridge (and getting a bit lost) was a picnic in 'Green park'. We lovingly re-named hurricane park. It was insanely windy there but also really beautiful.

Our first PEI beach... obviously not the major swimming spot!

Our next stop was Jacques Cartier campground. It was my first real taste of PEI ocean because I couldn't resist walking through the water.

=)

I thought this looked neat.

mc_questionmark obviously very concerned about the warning signs.

He's such a good influence on me!

All joking aside, it was gorgeous here and 'here' is North Cape, PEI.

I believe this is at Cedar Dunes provincial park.

Same park.

The first night we stayed at a nice little campground in central PEI and this is the sunset we were treated to.

Of course we had a campfire. It was wicked. I went a little nuts and took around 20 pics of it. Don't worry, I won't post them all.

Cavendish had an awesome biking trail along the ocean, over some marshes and past some fields. Lots of twists and turns and ups and downs. It was great fun!

The first floating boardwalk I had ever been on. Still Cavendish park.

This is Cavendish Beach. The waves were crazy that day!

The ocean and my hubby, what a lovely sight. :)

Yes, that is me running through the water and loving every second of it! and yes, I did look like I peed myself afterward.

Not entirely sure where this was... some look out point that had steps down to the water.

This was taken at 'Orby Head'.

This might be North Rustico Harbour....?

This is the 'Dunes Gallery' and it's filled with tons of gorgeous insanely priced art. They had a really beautiful set up behind the gallery. Ponds, sculptures, flowers etc.

This is Brackley Beach. (I think) Beautiful, yes?

More beauty. This is one of my favorites.

Cool sand sculptures at Brackley beach.

It's Homer!

PEI was overloaded with Herons and I had the hardest freaking time getting a shot of one. This is the best I could get. Every time I got my camera ready, they would fly away. The sneaky devils!

This is Robinsons Island.

This is at Greenwich Park, another very beautiful spot.

This is another of my favorite shots.

Me in my new pirate shirt. :)

:)

That was the shortened version of our trip. It was tons of fun. I was exhausted and loopy by the end of it but it was worth it! Hope you liked the pics!
