Title: Tidus Gets Gang-Tickled

Mar 29, 2006 00:38

A random entry in "the Patricide Association," a fanfiction. It's actually the third chapter (the chapters are unrelated, and not necessarily in order).

Tidus Gets Gang-Tickled

“TIDUS!!” trilled Crystal, a soprano, as she swept into the room.

“TIDUS!!” sang Talasin, an alto, as she promenaded after Crystal.

“Tidus,” said Seymour with an evil leer. Talasin whapped him on the head with a hardcover book as she passed him. Crystal stroked his hair lovingly.

“Tidus,” said Talasin, suddenly serious. “Tidus.”

“I’m not here,” said Tidus immediately.

“Tidus, I have a question,” Talasin said, her voice soft and worried, her eyes downcast. “Something horrible happened to me when I was little.. I’m trying to find others who it’s happened to.”

Tidus mistrusted Talasin and Crystal almost more than Seymour.

“Well, Tidus?” said Oredne, appearing from nowhere and resting her head on one delicate hand, her elbow being located on Tidus’s head.

“Tidus, have-” Talasin stopped, and swallowed. Her slanted eyes glanced aside. She stopped, collected herself. “Have you ever been... have you ever been gang-tickled?”

“What?!” yelped Tidus.

“Is that a no or a yes, my boy?” Oredne asked shrewdly.

“I- no! I have never been gang-tickled!” Tidus shouted.

“Are you sure?” asked Crystal brightly. “It’s kinda like being gang-raped, except tickled...”

“NO!!”

Talasin looked down, her face dismayed. “I’m sorry, Tidus.. I only know three other people.. I just wanted to find more who understand... My sisters would hold my feet down, or sit on my ankles, and tickle me... My parents didn’t care!” Talsin looked away abruptly, to compose herself. “They only told us to quiet down, and my sisters.. they... just covered my mouth...” Talasin turned away and buried her head in Crystal’s shoulder as Oredne made consoling noises.

Abashed, Tidus awkwardly patted her on the head. “Uh.. I was never..” Gang-tickled? his mind suddenly asked. Something stirred in the back of his mind. He shook his head. “I never got gang-tickled...” The warning in the back of his head grew stronger.

“It’s all right, Tidus. It’s just a bad memory,” Talasin said bravely, sniffing.

Tidus didn’t notice Seymour approaching behind him, and it didn’t seem odd when Oredne moved to his side.

“We don’t know many other people,” Crystal said sympathetically, moving closer to Tidus.

“No,” agreed Oredne.

“We thought,” Seymour said, making Tidus jump and spin around, “it would be a mercy to find people to sympathize with Talasin.”

Tidus suddenly caught on.

“Oh, no.. Oh no.. No!” screamed Tidus, revolving and running alternately like a trapped rat.

“We couldn’t find any,” said Oredne.

“We thought we’d better make some people,” said Crystal.

Talasin sat on the desk, giggling with heartfelt appreciation for her friends - oh, to have friends! - over the screaming laughter of Tidus.
