"Left Behind"
It was rather sad, really. Little forgotten treasures. He rifled through the box, cheap cardboard about to fall apart from wet, trying to avoid anything that looked reasonably contaminated.
He picked out, a trifle gingerly, a little plastic figurine. Use had rubbed its edges so sheer that the blaring colors had faded, and it was smooth and cool to touch. After holding it at various angles and peering at it first in the manner of one shortsighted and then pulling his head so far back that he looked something like a startled owl, he decided it had been a Disney Princess doll.
He sighed. It was a shame, that people could drop these things so easily. But it only made his work easier.
(A/N: I got the feeling, writing that, that there was some kind of mysterious deeper meaning... I really don't know what to think when writing decides to say, "screw you, I'm coming up with my own lines.")
"Photo Prompt"
It was surprising how easily people could lose noticeable, treasured items, but for some reason managed to hold onto little insignificant trinkets--like those cheap plastic carabiners that children were given, for heaven knows what. They were very difficult to obtain, and it had taken him a while to amass these ones.
He delicately pushed spectacles up a crooked nose with a tiny screwdriver that left yet another smudge on it. Then he carefully picked up one of the links and began to carefully bend it, watching the cheap plastic intently.
It snapped, and he sighed. It would be so much simpler, he decided, shaking his head ruefully, if he could use better materials.
(A/N: And... the man above returns.)
