ASH HAS GONE PHAROAH!!
I was channel-flipping (unsurprisingly, it's a family trait) and landed on Pokemon on Cartoon Network. I stopped, taken by surprise, for Ash was inexplicably surrounded by a dark blue aura, which was clearly evil because it roiled and writhed in that manner that all evil auras do. Also, Ash seemed at first to have finally escaped his eternal imprisonment as a prepubescent ten-year old, for his voice was deep and masculine.
But alas! 'Twas not to be. Ash was in fact, possessed by some evil Egyptian king dude, and was subsequently challenged by some minor character with grey hair and a beard. He and Mr. Greybeard then found their way to an oddly miniscule pyramid where they were greeted by a large man, who clearly could not see the evil aura.
Also to my misfortune, it was not one of the original series but instead was from the latest season, where Misty has been replaced by a wimpy ten-year-old girl with the figure of a sixteen-year old (though Misty, unfortunately, also fulfilled this description) and her irritatingly prodigal brother, who fills every anime stereotype of the young prodigy.
