Summary: A party at the beach.
Amber eyes, twitching tail, sleek and silky fur. She blinks, and amber eyes are ice blue and glittering in the firelight. Casting her eyes down, she stares at her hands, wondering at what she saw.
Beady eyes dart around the beach, taking in the dancing and drinking, the flickering shadows caused by the fire light, and finally come back around to rest on the girl sitting on the log next to her. The girl flashes a grin, mouth full of fangs, and holds out the beer for her to take.
She must be seeing things, she thinks, and takes the cold wet bottle.
“You stick with me,” the girl says, and pauses to take a gulp of beer. “You stick with me, and I’ll show you how to live.”
She wants to believe her, and so she does.
