¡Sorpresa!

I'd like to know if you've got anything with my name on it.

Sorry, I only know a few phrases useful in my line of work. Surprise doesn't go over well in the recovery suite.

Were you a patient?

¡Sorpresa, usted es el padre? My Spanish is a little rusty.

Maybe. Probably. I don't know. Just... if you see anything with my name on it, burn it or something.

...I can easily pass you on to another doctor.

No. Just get rid of them.

Alright.

[Way to guarantee he goes looking.]

[Speaking of which - ]

It'll be really obvious if you've looked through it.

Alright.

[So much easier to seem innocent via text.]

[It's so alien and uncomfortable, to not trust him.]

Do you say anything else or is it all just limited to 'alright?'

What else do you want me to say?

Nothing, I guess.

I could probably manage that.

...Listen. I'll lock away the file if I come across it. That way nothing important gets lost.

That's not nothing.

It's not about things getting lost. And it's not like it would've helped anyway. Anything filed under my name is something I gave or told to someone I trusted. You don't even know who I am anymore.

I didn't think you meant it.

I don't. That's not to say I won't remember something it's always going to be the case. We get to know each other, you get another doctor you're more comfortable talking to... I get swapped out again, if you've got something important in your records, and I'm assuming you do, it should be kept in case it's needed.

There isn't going to be another doctor that I'm comfortable talking to, and that's fine. I'm not trying to be dramatic, it's just... the way it is. Whatever's in my records isn't exactly life threatening. It's just stuff about me that you used to know, and now you don't, and right now I need want it to stay that way.

I can't stop you from looking at it. I mean, I could punch you or something, but that's it. If you're planning on looking at it anyway, then bring it with you whenever you come to see your cat. You can look at it then.

I'd rather not look at it and have you let me keep it on file. But ultimately it's your choice, not mine.
