Yesterday afternoon, I received my results for the 'O' Level exams. I performed better than my expectations, with 4 A2s & 4 A1s. All the praise & glory goes to God! Of course, I couldn't have done it without the moral support from most importantly my parents and also some of my teachers. :)

I was rather disappointed in the fact that the A2 subjects included English & Combined Humanities, though. So, my L1R5 score - 8. I was particularly disappointed in the A2 for English. Ended up not living to Mdm Yanti's expectations and more importantly, mine. A part of me desperately wanted to lose the whole "blogging in standard English" principle right after I saw my English grade, but it has become a stubborn habit. Well, I guess I can only blame myself for choosing the wrong question to answer for the essay component, despite working hard towards an A1 grade. On the other hand, I expected that A2 for Combined Humanities because I feel that I didn't do well for Social Studies.

The most miraculous result ever for me, you ask? That's got to be the A1 for Physics. I swear, I'm not and never will be a Physics person. It just isn't my thing, and it just so happened that the 2010 'O' Level Physics paper was exceptionally tough. Those two reasons were enough to shatter completely my hopes of doing well in that subject. Expected an A1 for Biology because Ms Farhana has been such a dedicated teacher. She deserves having her students score their A's for that subject, haha.

On to what happened today.

Met up with a large group of classmates to attend the Temasek Junior College (TJC) Open House. At first, I kinda enjoyed myself despite all the chaos (expected of an open house). Went for a short tour around the school and then for the Principal's talk (boring... totally). After the talk, I ended up with only Winifred & Christon (somehow). We then headed to the hall and field to check out the sports CCA displays, and when we met up with the rest again, we went for another tour (this time led by a senior from my school) around the unexplored parts of the school. Went to the library on our last leg to listen to the General Paper lecture. It seemed very tough and also, dry. I doubt I'll find myself enjoying that subject. In fact, the talk kinda ruined my entire mood, hahaha.

Overall, I think I'll enter TJC as my first choice. As much as I love Victoria Junior College (VJC), my A2 grades for English & Combined Humanities have testified that I'm not meant to enter that college, haha. So close, but yet so far. Of course, VJC has its fair share of pressures, but that's a norm for every JC. I believe I will also be enriched with valuable experiences even if I don't end up in VJC.

Well, it's decided, then! Thankfully, I wasn't so spoiled for choice.
