OK, so tomorrow's the day. I'm going to receive the results for one of the most important exams in my academic life.
Frankly speaking, I've done a swell job in keeping myself distracted the past week, so that I wouldn't end up as a subject of anxiety and distress. I guess I've also prepared myself mentally by lowering my expectations by a few notches so I wouldn't go too over the top with my emotions when I finally open that seal.
However, I still can't help but replay the worst-case scenario over and over in my head. And right after the scene stops, I'll assure myself again that it wouldn't happen ANYWAY I'll do just fine, get into a good school and continue with my studies, period.
On to something more cheerful.
Celebrated Rashid's birthday with yet another outing today. This time, we went on the Southern Ridges Trails. Started the walk at HortPark and ended up at Mt Faber Park via the Henderson Waves. The walk offered a great view of Singapore's south, and overall it would be very enjoyable if not for the drizzles. The flora in Singapore's still as boring as ever, with little (or no) variation. They don't make extraordinarily pretty sights, either.
Along Henderson Waves (flawed focusing but whatever, hahaha).

Skyline of the south, I guess?
Boarded a bus back to HarbourFront after our walk ended. Went to Secret Recipe to have lunch. The fact that nearly all of their dishes consist of cheese, cheese and more cheese creeps me out. A little cheese is fine... but not too much. Anyway, I don't really like cheese to begin with (except if they come in the form of pizzas and cakes), and that's probably why I tend to go Asian when it comes to food. Anyway, I ordered a bowl of tom yum noodles which was delicious. :D

Walked around for a while after lunch, and then went home. Was surprisingly lethargic today; probably due to the lack of sleep (that has been cumulating over the holidays).
After church last night, I went to the Seoul Garden at Bugis Junction to have a buffet dinner with my colleagues from the Popular BookFest. I could say that we had a grand time, and much to my surprise the atmosphere was comfortable and not very awkward (I kinda expected things to be more... downbeat). Of course, it was a very sinful meal, what with all the chicken and beef we ordered and the oil-glazed hot plates (I promise I won't eat anything extra oily again until Chinese New Year). I really hope we'll be able to see one another again; though I highly doubt that we would be meeting again in the near future.

Well, that summed up my weekend. Gotta brace myself for tomorrow now... :S
